I absolutely LOVED boarding our German Shepherd here! I just picked her up and couldn't get home quick enough to give them the best review. We sent our (normally non-friendly/people aggressive) girl to them for 4 days and I fully expected Tom to ask us never to return. I was SHOCKED when his staff reported her to be so sweet with them and friendly! They have completely squashed all of my anxiety of leaving her for short trips. Tom and his staff at the kennels worked magic with our family dog and I am so so happy! I will absolutely use them again and I'd recommend them to everyone who is ever searching for a place to board their pet. Thank you guys so much!!

I guess I will be the first one to throw a negative response here as the owner let me know he runs a perfect kennel and I'll be the first. I made a reservation 3 months in advance for a 2 week stay in July. Called to confirm my upcoming stay and he says I called and canceled back in May when I was going to kennel my dog for a 24 hour period and he wanted to charge me 2 days. I didn't like his attitude during this conversation and also of being charged for time not there. So I cancelled my stay in May. Well he took the liberty to cancel my July reservation as well without extending the courtesy of letting me know. What a terrible way to run a business. I'll definitely take my business elsewhere and I'm sure he's fine with that.And on response to the owner giving himself 5 stars and his response to me. I don't like paying for something I'm not using. If I was going to pick up my dog by 9 am why would I be charged a full day??? Makes no sense to me and my previous kennels charged the same way. When you ck into a hotel ck out is 11 am; if you stay past the time it's a new day. Anyways I'm getting beside the point. Your pricing is your right as a business. When I was going to stay in May and you were going charge me two full days for less that a 24 hour period ya I said no thanks for May. That's your right to price things and my right to say no thanks. Never once did I mention canceling July and I was scheduling for almost 2 weeks. I don't understand why my job title has anything to do with this and you making that a point is ridiculous. Yes I'm a flight attendant and my husband practices Anesthesia and you were a cop. I'm glad we all know each other job titles. Has no correlation to my review on your company. You as a company has every right to deny service but you should have at least had the courtesy to let me know. I never once mentioned canceling July.And response to the owner giving himself 5 stars cough cough not surprised.

We have boarded our dogs at this kennel several times over the years. We have never had any issues and are very happy with the care our dogs receive. The owner is nice and is always accommodating. We will continue to board our dogs here, because we know they are safe and well taken care of.

My two pups were cared for very well. Great communication with them while we were gone. Property has a wonderful space for any dog. This is my dogs second trip there and would highly recommend to anyone! Thanks again!

When I bring my dog, Sophie, to IronDog, open the door and watch her bound out, eager to say hello to Tom and then join the other dogs I know she is at the right place. We have been bring our dogs to IronDog for several years now, many times for the entire summer. We feel the dogs are safe, well provided for and treated like they are "home". This makes us comfortable, especially for long periods of time when we have been a couple of thousand miles away. Tom Schenek is a jewel in the Arizona wilderness.
