Great (and the only spot) right next to the Ski Valley lift station. Due to its limited seating capacity it can get pretty packed during skiing season. Luckily for us, when we were there there was not much snow and very few skiers/tourists. The ambiance has an old charm to it and they have lots of old stuff on display such as a mechanic teller. They also has a huge fireplace in the middle with dining tables surrounding it. Must be pretty cozy when the fire is lit.Food here is decent too. We ordered the "famous" hot chili soup, Claim Jumper (roast beef with Swiss cheese on French bun) , Gobbler (turkey with bean stouts and cranberry sauce, cream cheese on rye bread). I like both. Depends on if you are hungry (order Claim Jumper), or want some refreshing sandwiches that are not too heavy (order Gobbler). Service was excellent too. Mostly senior servers and they are very attentive to customers. Keep in mind they close at 4:30pm (kind only early but understandably it's on top of the Mt Lemmon)!

The restaurant looks bigger from the outside than it feels on the inside, and that's not a bad thing. The dining area is cozy, especially when they have a fire blazing in the big fireplace.There's a good selection of beer and wine, and of course on the reverse side of the table tent is the pie listing. Their pies are awesome. Be sure to save room for some pie.The chili and cornbread is very good. The topping on the cornbread involves melted brown sugar. The chili is a little spicy but fairly tame for Tucson spicy. It's very good.I had the BBQ chicken salad with an extra side of 1000 Islands dressing. It was an excellent choice and highly recommended. The service was a little off though I couldn't quite put my finger on why. The server was very nice and he was certainly attentive, but there was a slight awkwardness that made it feel a little awkward. Maybe it was the placement of the tables and he had to stand a little further away or something.Overall I enjoy this location and I look forward to going back again.

Great homemade food with mountain cabin vibes! I got the bbq chicken sandwich and it was super tender and tasty, but desperately needed salt (I never am one to add salt but had to). The crumble pie was one of the better pies I've ever had, so that's worth it! I thought their chili was a tad over salted and too much cumin for my preference.Everyone seemed to like their meal and I'd come back if we visited Tucson again!

Tucked up in the mountain across from the ski lift on Mount Lemmon, this little restaurant gives cabin cozy vibes. The food reminded me of a traditional homemade bed and breakfast meal. I had two eggs with a brat and hash browns. It was decent food. However, the real star of the show was the pie! It was made fresh and incredible! I got the blueberry peach pie and it was delicious! Service was quick and friendly.

After a 7-mile hike with 1,600 elevation gain to get to the ski lift at Lemmon, we wanted to cool down and grab a beer and a quick snack. We ate a picnic lunch at the top of Lemmon halfway through our hike, so we weren't there for the lunch options. For where it's located, the prices are fine, but it's somewhat pricey for what you get (as I noticed other people getting their meals). One table commented that their teenage boys would need to have a second meal to fill up. I didn't think the portions were terrible, but they weren't enormous (except the pie).So the pie. $9 per slice and can get it warm and with whipped cream, crumble top or double crust. If you want ice cream, it will cost you $10.We opted for a wild berry pie with no dairy topper. It was excellent and the equivalent of two pie slices, served like a personal pan pizza (round). We shared it amongst two adults and a 10yo. I had a beer for $7, and we paid cash-- around $20 and tip after. We paid case to not get overcharged by the 3.5% additional charge for credit card purchases. We sat outside and it aas a great place to get a refill on water, a little bite, a little rest, and a cold Tucson beer (cans/bottles only though sadly) after a hike.

You can't ask for a more serene surrounding for a meal. Nestled in the mountains across from the ski lift - this restaurant offers comfort eats and treats. The gobbler sandwich toasted or not is AMAZING and the perfect post-hike meal! And of course a pie there or to go is required! The cute booth tables, the fireplace, the hummingbird feeders all around outside- it's beautiful!

One might think that the only restaurant open this late in the season within a 20-mile radius, not to mention being in the middle of a tourist area, would be overpriced and have few if any good offerings. But this place is actually quite good. we stopped in for lunch after a hike on Mount Lemmon and had macaroni and cheese and a quesadilla. The mac & cheese was very good, and the quesadilla was sparse but pretty good. The service (Noah) was very friendly and prompt. The overall atmosphere was cozy, and we sat right by a fire in the middle of the dining room. We'd go back.

Don't waste your money on lunch here. The sandwiches were made with low quality, cheap turkey, and the bacon was the instant kind that you microwave. It was also almost impressive how bad the German potato salad was - the texture was gelatinous or almost slimy and it barely had any flavor. I tried my friend's mac n cheese, which was an unnatural vibrant orange, and it tasted like the cheese sauce came from a can. The only saving grace was the roasted red pepper soup, which was underseasoned a bit, but nothing a bit of salt couldn't fix. The pies were also good, but their crusts were a bit soggy on the bottom. Our waiter was lovely though - Steve was his name, I believe. If you come here, just come for the pie - skip on the food.

Today is a weekday so no breakfast. I had the chille and cornbread, which were excellent. However, the chille needed the Mexican secret ingredient, chocolate. Taking two pies home. Last time we had their pies they were great.
