Decent selection of metal, and fair prices, so not that much less expensive than the local competition.The big difference here is the amount of time you will wait. Bring your lunch, bring your dinner, bring a good book to read. You'll be here for a minimum of 30 to 45 minutes, even if you order early morning and pick up late afternoon. It's best to shop the competition, and ultimately just go there instead.

Just moved to the area and found my new metal supply. Great selection, good supply and even open on Saturdays. Oh yeah, get material from the remnant section for cheap prices. What else do you want?

This is not a store that everybody needs but if you are looking for raw metal and sheets of stainless steel, this is the place. I was looking for some metal sheets to hang on the wall and show off my magnet collection. I tired looking at the big home improvements stores but their selection was lacking. This place is amazing if you want to remodel or redo your home. I imagine welders would probably get a lot more out of this store than I can but it's very cool. I was getting ideas for fixing up my place or decorating using the items here. I do like an industrial look, so maybe that's why. If you need any metal items, check this place out. I found the pictures to be very helpful because I didn't know what it looked like inside.

Industrial Metal Supply is a handyman's best friend.Although the building is set up to service contractors, there is no need to feel intimidated. You can get to the front desk by walking through any door including the warehouse entrances. The staff behind the counter are all helpful in guiding you toward the metal you are looking for.If you've bought metal stock from a Big Box store then brace yourself. The prices here will be significantly less.A room in the rear of the show room contains remnants at very reduced prices.

Dude misquoted me on the phone, then added a $20 fee to cut the full stick I bought. Just for the one stick, it added $40.

As a Artist that works in metal and other platforms, I find this store an excellent source for materials. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful;I would strongly recommend it for all ones Metal needs.WCK

I love this place - it's like going to Disneyland for me. I'm an artist/jeweler/lapidary, and I build a lot of my own tools - mostly in aluminum. IMS has a remnants room, where cut-offs and scraps are priced by the pound - it's very reasonable. You can find a wide range of pieces, from small to things you can barely lift. In there, they also have something called the 'artist's corner' which is a bin with mostly copper and brass scraps. On the far wall, they have a great display of cross-sections of the shaped metals (bars, angles channels, tubes, etc.) which you can buy by the foot (min. one foot). Be aware that there is a cutting charge involved - around $8 for a simple cut. The wrought iron section for fences, gates, and the like has many fantastic and beautiful shapes and trim parts, which could also be used in other ways. There are thin metal sheets sold from wide a rolls in copper, brass, and lead(!). I get new ideas for more projects every time I go there. There is much, much more than I have mentioned.The folks who work there are really nice, and willing to help, even if you are not a metal worker. It's an amazing place, and I love going there.
