Thes best Ramen broth you will ever have! This is our favorite Ramen place and they also make best Tuna Donburi in Tucson. The ramen broth is absolutely legendary and not only the best in Tucson but best we have ever had anywhere, it even cures hangovers and we often get extra broth to save for later. We usually get the Spicy Tonkotsu as well as a Tuna Donburi but if you get the Tuna Donburi you have to get it volcano style! If you like sauce I recommend getting double volcano sauce. Also the Ikkyu roll and super hiro roll are also very good but they are a bit large and hard to eat in one bite like regular sushi rolls but still delicious. The only negatives I would say is that the chashu pork pieces are very dry compared to other places like JA ramen which give excellent pieces of pork even pork belly sometimes. The pork is lean for the most part which I like but sometimes a bit tough or dry. Also they do not give the soy sauce egg like other ramen places do, which I wish they would. Other than that it's the best ramen in Tucson. The noodles are amazing and seem homemade and have great chew and the portions are always great and never leave you wanting more and it's all for a great price especially compared to other spots overcharging for ramen 16-20+ like Obon does. Also they have probably the best Miso soup we have ever had!We have been coming here since we moved to Tucson a few years ago and it has been always amazing, however to be honest we have noticed recently that the quality seems to be getting a bit inconsistent and perhaps falling off but hopefully it was just a bad day or two because we would hate to stop going here if it continues. For example, sometimes the Tuna is better than other times. Sometimes it's a light pink color other times it's a darker red, but when it's good it's the best in the city and other times not as good, usually the darker the red the better. They are nice and fast and do online orders for pick up even car side if desired. However they do charge a service fee for ordering online a dollar or two which to me doesn't make sense because you are doing them a favor and putting in your order online and doing the work for them and making things easy instead of going inside and ordering and wasting the cashier's time and waiting around taking up space. The only problem is that they don't offer delivery and they would get so many more orders if they were available on Uber or Dash, but I guess they make enough money and have enough steady customers that they don't have to do that.Overall our favorite Japanese and best ramen spot in the Tucson area.

Ok wasn't sure what to expect.Friends went & said it was awesome! You go in & order- oh make sure you look up menu or look at it on window before you come in. I had Miso Ramen and hubby had chicken curry.Yummily! Put order in and not too long after our timer went off meaning food is ready! You go to counter & pick it up. Pick up there is busy so my assumption was that's what happens most here & that's what we're doing next time.Prices were reasonable & there isn't a bar or alcohol. Wasn't a problem for us. Definitely will do take out- coolio we have a new place to take kids when they visit.

My first experience with this place was during the pandemic. I ordered take out ramen. The ground pork was not appetizing, I prefer char siu which they didn't have. The thick black sesame tonkotsu pork broth had way too much black sesame and it was too salty, and not enough broth.I'm glad I gave this place another try. I haven't ordered the ramen again but I like their curry chicken and rice, their sushi rolls are fresh, and their tempura shrimp (not on the menu) can be ordered ala carte, and it's very good (good size and batter is light and crispy). They don't have the tempura dip. I use eel sauce. Service: fast and efficient.Ambiance: good for a quick stop.

Very traditional serving countertop cashiering and self served on the table! Tonkatsu ramen was so freshly and delicious!!! Soup base was cooking hot and delivered right on with Al Dente ramen!!! Pork ChaSu and marinated egg were cooking right on and tasty!!! Pricing was fair n inexpensive for self serving!! Surprisingly their sushi rolls were so freshly n I ordered just a regular California Rolls that the avocado were so tasty n freshly made!!!

Focused more on takeout, Ikkyu still offers great donburi and ramen dishes when dining in. Just a bit of hassle ordering due to menus being outside the restaurant for some reason

I used to come here all the time when I lived in the Tucson area because I was hooked on the Spicy Tuna Don (the original, like deconstructed sushi roll).I've never had anything else at this spot but this bowl .. the bowl starts with sushi rice, a generous scoop of spicy tuna, garnished with cucumber, green onion & seaweed. It's served with a hot cup of Miso soup. I did try the volcano version once and was not a fan. They do have ramen, bowls, bento boxes, sushi, etc. The menu is taped to the front windows, since COVID, and I guess that's a permanent thing now. They do have QR codes on tables but no menu at the front register. Located next to LeeLee Market, they share the same parking lot. Plenty of indoor and outdoor covered seating. Lots of take out business, this place gets busy at lunch time.

I've been here a few times now and the food and prices are good. I got a chicken yakisoba and liked it. My friend got a volcano donburi, her first time here, and she also enjoyed her meal! Although, I went this past week and the menus are all outside and it says there's none inside. I wouldn't mind this if it wasn't 100 degrees outside. If you come knowing what you want, great experience. If you want to take time to look at the menu or try something new, don't come in the summer, as you'll be standing in the hot sun.

The food was just okay. Nothing special about it. It didn't taste horrible but it just didn't hit the spot either. The scallop sushi was pretty good though. The place is kinda small and you have to view the menu from outside. It was also a little warm inside. However, it was clean and staff were friendly.
