Horticulture Unlimited

Horticulture Unlimited has provided good service for us. The landscapers are very friendly and try hard to carry out our wishes with respect to the yard. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is that it is not easy to communicate with the yard crew when we are out of town.

Ron and Devin did a great job cleaning up my front and back yards. They trimmed my 10 trees and used the blower on the fallen leaves. They were very nice and got the job done quickly. Thank you.

I hired Horticulture Unlimited for some irrigation work, as my system needed an overhaul. Not only did they completely fix broken pipes and sprinkler heads, but installed some drip irrigation in a garden area where I had some some vegetables and herbs planted in a raised garden bed. They did the work quicker and cheaper than expected and also pruned back some hedges that were preventing water from getting to certain plants, without me even asking. Their work was clean, professional and I'd hire them again. Thank you to the crew. They were great!

Piss poor ownership to management.They install a new irrigation system but damaged many of the electrical lines for the outdoor lighting . Then billed me for the damages and we had to pay for there screw up .They did a complete landscaping job many plants died would not take responsibility to replace plants within the warranty . The owners Dawn has no consideration for the customer. We had them for over 2 years doing maintenance ,the team was good but was limited on what they could do to help the customer because of the pressure by management. We had to scrutinize ever bill to determine what was correct and what in error.

Great experience working through the entire process of design and execution of the plan.

We hired horticulture unlimited to design and implement our backyard project. There seems to be a disconnect in the project managers communication with each other,the workers, and with the home owners. I was often confused during the four weeks about who was in charge and when I asked one manager they would tell me to ask another. The design was great for our yard size but Bradley should have brought be photos and samples of everything being used, like rock and lighting at the start, It would have saved some confusion. I have nothing to say but wonderful things about our two workers, Edgardo and Juan, who spent three weeks with us digging and planting and spreading rock. Edgardo was invaluable to me as he kept in touch with me almost daily and made sure things went as I desired. In the end we are happy with the outcome, even with the hiccups along the way.

I hired Horticulture Unlimited in September 2020 for landscape maintenance. As experts they prescribed quarterly maintenance paying $125/visit and pre-emergent weed control at $195/application. I agreed with their proposal entirely as written (attached photo) with service beginning in October 2020 (attached photo) and continuing quarterly so in January 2021, April 2021, July 2021 etc. In July 2021 they billed me (attached photo) for service I didn't receive. When I contacted Andrew on Monday 8/9 he said he would have a crew out Thursday 8/12 or Friday 8/13. I never heard back from them after 8/9.Note: This review has been revised as the owner's initial reaction asserted that I did not elect for pre-emergent herbicide, so I added the contract and receipts showing I did elect for that.Bottom line if you are looking for reliable automatic hassle-free landscape maintenance this is not for you. They may do a fine job if you have time to keep after them.

From my first meeting with Dawn and Rosalee, to the completion of the project, everything was beyond my expectations! Getting the most out of my landscape budget and creating an environment to enjoy my property are always my objectives. Every single individual that worked on my project clearly understood my wants and translated my wishes into a beautiful garden that I will enjoy for years to come. Without reservation I recommend Horticulture Unlimited!

We did a complete redo of our front and back. This included a tear out of old plants, irrigation systems, lights, cisterns, and knick-knack crap left from previous owners. They installed a new irrigation system, landscape lighting, rock, and many beautiful plants. The workers were very friendly and easy to communicate with, and they stuck to the plan exactly. Questions were always quickly answered. We're thrilled with our new yard, and highly recommend Horticulture Unlimited.

After posting this review i had to return to make my comment clear but i had not read the other reviews prior to adding mine. Ut's true what these negative reviews state. Dawn promises and she is a talker but does not deliver! She is also nice initially then became a bit of a bully. Not a nice professional as I first thought. Im sure she or someone will respond to my review to defend themselves & will never take responsibility. I hope this poor review will wake them up. Especially during this tough time in our country when businesses are closing all around us, Horticulture Unlimited needs to take a hard look at their poor business practices & change. We lost money & time but they will lose much more in the near future. I wanted to give less stars but because Dawn called and at least initially she was professional & timely, i gave 2.We started our project with Horticulture unlimited in Nov 2019, before COVID. Dawn, the owner did return my call immediately and she followed up with an hour long FaceTime meeting. Once we agreed to hire this company, Dawn sent a contract but without a "complete by" date. That was suspicious to me but i returned the contract & requested that Dawn add the date as we had agreed, which she did. i let this go as a fluke but now i understand why she did not add it initially.Our property is in CA & they are in AZ. Dawn asked for a "want list" amongst other things we had discussed and we sent all requests. I did not hear from them until maybe one month past the date they promised completion of drawings. Unfortunately none of the things on my "want list" were on the plans. None! It was upsetting because we were waiting on these plans to start our project. If course when i question why this was so, the person working on the drawings got defensive. He said that because we are in CA its hard to visualize the property. However, early in our meetings we provided videos (9 detailed videos that they never watched) and we did a FaceTime walk around the property AND sent the "want list." The plants they added to the drawings were the typical industrial building type. Nothing like what we requested and discussed throughout our meetings. I felt that because they were only doing drawings & not the installation that they could care less.Dawn pushed her new book constantly too.Bottom line, we wasted precious time and money. Got final drawings early July 2020. Very dissatisfied but we moved on & hired a true landscape architect for our 1/4 acre property landscaping! Starting from scratch but you live & learn.I would not recommend this company at all. By the way, i have been on yelp many years now and i have never posted reviews. I try to let things go but this time i had to post. Sadly for this company.
