Had dinners here on a Weds and a Fri and both were excellent. On the Wednesdays they have smoked burgers but they were all sold out by 5 pm. On Friday it was pretty crowded but service was still quick and accurate. By the time we left at 5:30 ish people were waiting for a table. Friendly and efficient service, good beer on tap and plenty of BBQ choices on the menu. The brisket can be ordered lean or moist or half and half...I ordered moist and it melted in my mouth. Try the cowboy sandwich, a big pile if pulled pork and brisket.

We stumbled on this restaurant, and we are very glad we did. GREAT service and even better food! Large servings. Reasonably priced. We asked for advice and two of the servers generously offered advice to meet our preferences. It's a bit cold in there, so bring a jacket. They started as a food truck, and the atmosphere still exists (good). Six excellent sauce selections and great meat selections including brisket, Tri Tip, sausage, pulled pork and more. Standard sides of coleslaw, potato salad, beans, etc. included. My first comment to my wife after we started eating was, "Someone in that kitchen knows what they are doing!"We live 15 miles away in NW Tucson, but we will go out of our way to come back to Holy Smokin Butts. They mentioned that they get pretty busy on Friday nights and weekends, so we'll call first.

Terrible experience. We called ahead to see if they took reservations They said no but there was only a 5-10 min wait. We showed up not even ten minutes later and because we had two kids with us making it a party of 6 they said it would be a 45-60 minute wait. Mind you - there were LOTS of open tables - no idea why we would have to wait about an hour. When I said we had just called and the wait wasn'tlong, the hostess said because we had a party of six we should've made a reservation! WTH?!?!Anyway - they do not have their act together. We are going to a different BBQ place and will never try this place again. Try other places before you give this circus a chance.p.s. we ended up at the Bashful Bandit Barbecue. Even though the place was packed, we got a table rather quickly and the meats were top-notch! The sauces were excellent! The staff was super friendly and engaging. A much better experience vs the smokin butt..

We were in town on vacation and made a reservation for 6PM on a Friday night. They were pretty full, but still a few tables open, so might be OK to try to get in without a reservation. They had some good local draft beers; I had the Mother Road Station Tower IPA which went really nicely with the BBQ. Two of us shared the Big Q platter which had some of everything. We loved it all! The brisket was so tender and flavorful, the pulled pork was delicious and the sausage and turkey were excellent as well. We had fries and beans as our sides and the fries were definitely fresh cut and fried to order. The beans were a mix of a couple different types and were seasoned nicely with just the right amount of onion and weren't too sweet. We had leftovers to take home so definitely plenty of food for two. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxed and not noisy making it easy to have a conversation. Parking is available in the big shared lot, but was almost full when we arrived and was still pretty full when we were leaving. I'd suggest giving yourself a little extra time to drive around for a spot on busy nights.

I'm not gonna lie, this was the best burger of my life. Perfectly cooked to medium, tender seasoned patty. Soft buttered bun. Lettuce tomato red onion pickle. Thick lightly seasoned French fries. I couldn't finish it. Do they make their own ranch? What sorcery is this??? I see myself sneaking a bite at midnight.

Service wasn't great...just okay. Our meal came out in shifts which drives me crazy. The brisket was forgettable...not horrible but not memorable. It could have been saved by the mac and cheese but this was a big swing and miss as it tasted and looked similar to Kraft cheese sauce poured over over-cooked noodles (IMO, BBQ joints should have the best mac-and-cheese in town). My family had the pulled pork which they enjoyed. Overall didn't hate it, but didn't love it and probably won't go back.

I grew up in southern West Virginia. Pork is the central meat, and its sweet taste involved fresh pork from home grown pigs often. I went to Butt's and was given great service. I was debating between the pulled pork and the pork belly. The waiter recommended the pork belly. It was tender and sweet and had enough fat to give it great flavor. I will be going back with my son and daughter in-law. I would recommend reservations because there seems to be a crowd.I got sides of mac/cheese and baked beans. They were good.

Best servers in Tucson. Great food. Same disgusting men's room. Guess the owners think that the rustic, barn, 1880s theme should carry over into the men's room sinks. A couple of rusted, galvanized tubs with out door water faucets.

I had an uncomfortable experience when I went to pick up my order. As soon as I walked in, the woman at the front just stared at me with her mouth open, without greeting me. However, she greeted everyone who came in after me. It made me feel unwelcome, as if I wasn't supposed to be there.A simple "hello" or "welcome in" goes a long way in making customers feel valued. Staring at someone without acknowledging them is not good customer service. I hope this was just an off day, but it left a negative impression.
