Absolutely terrible customer service. We lost time and money on several jobs due to the terrible communication with Nate and others from this company. They told us 4 times our material was ordered and in and each time we went, it was not there. They don't follow though with their actions and it causes critical business to fail due to their lack of ability to verify and communicate properly. In addition, they give you a major hassle for a refund, even though you already paid and never got your lumber. I highly recommend you don't buy from this company!

We bought 4x8 beams & 4x6 posts to build a porch. Initially the wood looked great. We built the porch, painted it and have been enjoying it. Unfortunately in less than a year all of the wood has split, twisted and cracked. We will have to brace the porch and replace all the wood. We contacted Holderness and the person who answered said, "what am I supposed to do about it." We also contacted Nancy McCoy and she had me email her pictures. We still have not had a response. Apparently all the wood we bought was green and should not have been sold or used for a porch. It's not even the money we spent on all the wood that is disappointing, but that we have to rebuild the entire porch and Holderness has not even responded.

Holderness Supplies made and delivered the trusses for my roof, a process that, from order to delivery, was remarkably fast. Their prices were quite fair and the build quality was decent, though not beautiful or done with much attention to detail. A fair number of loose staples and scabby 2x4s made their way into the finished trusses, but price and a basic level of solidity was more important than aesthetics for me, so I'm a happy customer.

Have called them twice now in the last month with questions about products, ordering and other generic questions. A person answers every time, and they are friendly and helpful. Can't wait to get far enough along in my project to give them my business.
