I had lasik surgery yesterday with the surgery performed by Dr. Hodges himself. From initial consultation to post-op surgery, my experience was nothing but delightful. I initially had a consult here a year ago, but was so anxious I convinced myself not to follow through. About a month ago, I had it with my contacts. I made a new consult and started the process again. Courtney was my lasik specialist. She took the time to answer all my questions and walk me through every part of the process. She even helped deal with my insurance. Pre-op day, spent a lot of time getting accurate measurements and data for the surgery day. Went through the different drops I'd need to get and the drop schedule. Met with one of the doctors who reviewed everything and also asked if I had any questions. Surgery day was a breeze, despite being super anxious. They review the data again and Dr. Hodges asked if I had any other questions/comments/concerns. Surgery itself took maybe 7 minutes total. Dr. Hodges explains everything before he does it/as he's doing it so you know what to expect. They even let me crack a couple jokes. The assistants help you get up, take off the surgery attire (gown/hairnets/etc) and you're done. Courtney called several hours later to check up after the surgery. The only thing I could say was that "I regret waiting for so long to get this done". I'm lucky; I had no stinging/burning/scratchy feelings. It felt like I had been in a chlorinated pool - more annoying than anything else. And only lasted about an hour (went away with some cold PFATs). Today was the first post-op check up and I'm at 20/20 one day post-op. There's still some healing and normal things that will go away with time (light halos/starburst) but I've dealt with that with contacts. Waking up and being able to see the clock is wild. Big shout out to Courtney, Dr. Hodges, and the rest of the incredible staff.

Don't use them. It is a factory. The service is horrible and you do not get the call backs. You have to leave a message that says they will call you in 1 to 2 days. Which is already a poor service. But they don't even meet that standard. I should of gone with my first instinct and not scheduled the surgery when they did return my call the first time. Find another place.

I have a new MD that will be taking of my eye exams. I am very impressed by him. I am soooo happy. My previous MD presented as stern and close to non-caring.The staff team is teriffic. Doctor Hodges, Surgeon, is quite pleasant.I highly recommend Hodges Invision for routine care.I was however not impressed with the results of my cataract surgery. My vision is slowly getting worse, as far as prescription strength goes, for my reading glasses. But my exam shows it is not by much. I know I can't read as well, and you will never convince me that it is not declining. My night vision prior to surgery was good. My night vision now shows streaks of light coming from shiny lights, such as car lights. In the waiting room I have heard many stories of great surgery outcomes.Dr Hodges Clinic discovered that I now have macular degeneration. OTC medication has been prescribed for it.To end, I would definately recommend the Clinic for yearly exams.Louise Sullivan

I was extremely impressed with Hodges Eye Care during most of my experience with them, but I have a few reservations. 1) Their staff are all very friendly and "professional," but every time I went there I saw different staff and there was no one person who was my contact. I increasingly felt like I was on an assembly line. 2) I understood from what I was told that the new (very expensive) Symphony lenses that I had implanted during cataract surgery would completely correct my distance vision (as that is what I chose as my priority), but that there was a chance I would still need slight close-up correction. When I went in for my follow-up, I was told that I needed close-up correction of +2, which is not slight. 3) The person who was recording my correction accidentally deleted that information so I had to go back in to be remeasured and get a prescription. That would evidently entail a separate visit and charge, though I'm talking with Hodges now about that. 4) I wish when I had been counseled before I made my decision to prioritize distance over close-up that I might regret it because our need for close-up vision is generally so much greater than for distance. If I had to do it all over again, I would make a different decision (as awesome as it is to see far away for the first time in many decades). This is my responsibility, but I believe advice from Hodges could have steered me better. That said, I never waited long to see anyone and the procedure was quick and largely effective. I have no doubt they know what they're doing, just wish it was less of an assembly line approach.

We have had positive experiences at Hodges including a successful cataract surgery and great care before, during, and after the surgery. The office is well kept and the team working here friendly. There have been a few times where the wait time was absolutely unacceptable - hours - but otherwise it's always been top rate service.

I would give this place a 0 star if possible. Went to get my eyes tested after 5 years of having keratoconus yet when I was finished with my appointment they refused to give me anything that would tell me what my vision was at which is why I was there to begin with. I have now waited almost 1 year to the date of calling them, going down to the office, and sending tons of emails asking for anything that just says what my vision was currently at. There should have been no reason that I can't get something with MY medical information either in person or any other way. They refused to print and physically hand me any of my medical documents, refused to email me anything, and refused to send anything in the mail. I feel that after a year of waiting that I have been more then patient and now because I didn't know how fast my vision was declining I had lost my job as a delivery driver for an auto parts store because my vision was to bad for them to trust that i would not crash. All I ever asked was for something or even someone to tell me what my vision was at because the rate at which my vision was changing was a lot more rapid then I was anticipating and again all I was asking was to know if my vision was 20/100 or 20/200, I just wanted to know so I could have expected this and now my life has been changed and not for the good. I hope that this will change the way they do business and hope that people will not have the same hard ships I had when just trying to get their vision fixed.

I have almost been nervous to do a surgery like this but everyone in the office has put me at ease. I will be referring all my friends and family. This was a life changing operation and cannot be thankful enough to see 20/20.

Should have read the reviews first. Took 5 weeks to get an app. Michelle who made my app. called me the day prior to confirm and remind me to bring ins. cards and photo ID. I asked anything else...no. ( she was very professional). Arrived 15 min early to fill out paperwork. Circled a disclaimer on the last sheet but Did Not Sign stated caution after dilation. After 35 min, was greeted by John. Informed him I had not been told about dilation and could not complete the exam today. Had no one to drive me home.We spent 15 minutes together. He answered all my questions, (very professional). He introduced me to Lisa the office manager to re-schedule. This is where it Hit-The-Fan. I expressed my disappointment about not being told I should a driver to take me home. Her response...We Are Down Two People. I responded I Don't Care. We went back & forth. She had staffing issues, Not My Problem. Then OK ,how about a new app. She told me there are 12 people in front of me she has to schedule. It was then I realized I could NEVER have any work done at this practice. Upon leaving, as a service to the Doctors who own the practice, I stated, to her..... her customer service skills rated a D-.Called the next day to ask for my records bask. Lots of personal info I do not want them to have. Have not yet received.Kinda makes you wonder with all the one and two star reviews how I could have This kind of experience. I was ready to go. The staff killed it.
