Historic Bates Mansion

Absolutely the best!!!My best friend chose this venue for her wedding and she could not have been happier! The staff is family owned and very proud what they have to offer, as they should be! I was maid of honor and got to experience the ins and outs of this stunning old home that has been converted. The brides room is very "instagram ready" a cute couch and Hello Gorgeous neon for photos. There are individual mirrors on a long table for all the ladies to put on their make up. Full length mirrors, curtains, portrait windows overlooking the grassy area. The grooms room has a pool table, bar, clever decorations, leather furniture, very manly and inviting!The Historic Bates provides you with all the touches you would want for your perfect day. The owners, David and Allie, really care about this place, they were married here in 2020 and now it is theirs to proudly share with us! The Bates has won many awards, and rightly so. They take pride in making sure that every little detail gets taken care of. If you need help finding a photographer or a caterer, etc, Allie and David are there to help you. This was really an ideal setting and they provided so much relief for us, both before and the day of the wedding.Twinkle lights among palm trees, gorgeous architecture and history. It's a cozy and homey hacienda right in the middle of downtown Tucson, yet feels miles away! Thank you for taking such good care of us. I have been to many parties at the Historic Bate's Mansion but this is the first time I have planned a party here. David, the owner, was amazing to work with.We held a surprise engagement party at the beautiful Bate's Mansion. Since it was a surprise, timelines were stretched.The person assembling the balloon arch needed more time. The charcuterie board needed a lot of time to set up, etc. David was flexible and worked with us, letting us arrive earlier than expected.The whole venue is beautiful. The courtyard has string lights and green grass. The inside bar was charming with candles and chandeliers that lit the dining area. The bride's suit is stunning with its own personal instagram worthy area for photos. The groom's suit is decorated with whiskey barrels and has a pool table.I can't express how grateful I was to experience hosting a party here. I would 100% recommend this to anyone wanting an intimate party in the downtown area.

This venue was perfect. My great niece got married there. The owner and operater of the place is so FRIENDLY and very accommodating. Him and His staff made sure everything went as planned. It was a FUN PLACE to have a function plenty of room. The building is older and the ceiling is make of some type of tile Soo pretty.Very nostalgic yet fancy enough for formal weddings/parties. Planning an event I recommend and you go talk to DAVID he's the best at what he does. Very passionate about the service he offers. I just had my wedding here last night, and I am beyond impressed with this venue, the team, and how AMAZINGLY my night went! Bates offers 3 wedding packages, and I chose the middle package that's a step up from "bare bones", but didn't include EVERYTHING. My package included setup and breakdown, linens, day of coordination, DJ services, rehearsal, and water + prickly pear lemonade (we opted for a dry wedding for personal and cost reasons). The Bates Mansion staff did several things that completely exceeded me expectations throughout the evening. They assembled and dis-assembled my centerpieces, made the altar look amazing with no instruction, set the sodas we brought over ice, checked in REPEATEDLY throughout the night, jumped in to start serving guests because the buffet line was taking too long, and at one point I even saw David (the owner) tying my dads tie for him!Compared to other places that offer similar packages/services, their prices are very reasonable. We were able to bring minimal decorations and the place still looked amazing. Guests were constantly complimenting the wedding and the venue. David was great to work with. He really helped us have the fun, laid back wedding we wanted and repeatedly went above and beyond personally to communicate with me consistently before the big day and even helped chill me out before I walked down the aisle.5/5 I absolutely recommend this venue for weddings or any other events! PS. Forgot to mention the bridal suite is BEAUTIFUL and HUGE, makes you feel like a celebrity!

So, Our original wedding venue cancelled less than two months before our wedding which left us scrambling to find something. We lucked out and saw Bates mansion, set up a meeting for the next day and we're able to book the following week. ( It would have been sooner but we had to wait for a refund from the original venue). David the owner was a GODSEND, Laid back and professional . They run this place in a go with the flow kind of style that is so appreciated when you're stressed from planning. He had no issues with wrangling my day of coordinator who was more schedule driven and had no problems with "being the bad guy" while dealing with her. It was honestly such smooth sailing. He made it his mission to make us comfortable and succeeded, was even out on the dance floor with us. It truly felt like he was one of the family. The bartending crew and other crew were amazing as well, always made sure we had anything we needed. Now let's talk decor, So many antique frames and candles, It has a more alternative feel, which is refreshing because there's so much boho and country styles out there right now that do not suit my husband or I. If you're considering it, fucking do it. It'll be the easiest choice you'll have to make. THANKS DAVID, we appreciate you!

If you want your wedding to be the best day of your life you hands down need to choose bates as your venue. I spent a lot of time planning my wedding and stressing about all the little details. The day of the wedding I put all my trust into the owner, David and he executed everything better than I could have imagined! I'm still riding a high on how perfectly my wedding day went. The catering included in the package was AMAZING. The DJ and bartender also included in the package provided such great services and were so friendly it almost felt like they were just guests at our wedding. And don't forget how beautiful is is here! The bridal/groom suites, the outdoor ceremony/reception area, and the bar/cocktail hour areas are absolutely perfect. David and his team really know how to throw a party. They being the best vibes and will give you a night you'll be thinking about for the rest of your lives!
