In spite of what other reviewers have posted, there are NO DOGS allowed on this trail or ANY trail in Tucson Mountain Park. The Hidden Canyon Trail is a hidden gem tucked away behind the Starr Pass Resort. It provides great views of both the canyon and the surrounding area once you reach the high point. The trail drops down on the other side of the canyon and connects to the Bowen House trail. The Bowen stone house is a must-see.

Beautiful trail. Has multiple trails that you can split off from. Dog friendly and easy to hike. The cacti vies are incredible. Highly recommend for an easy jog or walk.

Nice trail. Tough climb but good views. A bit extreme for running, but you can do it if you're careful and want a hill workout. Too short? Do it twice.... or three times. Just watch your ankles on the descents.

This trail is a nice, easy loop that starts near the parking lot of JW Marriott Starr Pass and ends just down the road from where you start, near the golf course. The trail is clearly defined, taking hikers through a canyon and up around a small mountain. If that sounds tough, don't worry- it's not! The total trail is approx. two miles and only gains about 400 ft. in elevation over the entire trail. Overall it took us about an hour to walk the entire loop. The views were absolutely beautiful. We saw tons of gorgeous desert flora, some cool birds, had two different views of the city of Tucson, as well as lovely panoramic views of the Tucson Mountains. This would be a great trail for any hikers unfamiliar with desert hiking, or people just getting started hiking. Don't forget to bring water and wear comfortable shoes!
