A nice baseball field in the middle of Reid Park. Free parking, cheap tickets and a quality facility. Tickets are ~$8 and you can usually buy them at the stadium day of (there is a fee online). Most seating is open with the exception of a few shaded seats behind the batter, the very front rows and one small Section near 1st base. That being said, it can get hot in the general admission seats during day games. As the facility is off campus, they serve beer (~$9 for a large specialty draft beer). They also have Sunday funday where soda and hot dogs are $2. I miss not having a mlb team in town, or spring training for that matter. So u of a baseball fills my live baseball void. Go cats.

My review is only on the entrance and security supervisor. As I traveled to a Tucson to watch college baseball, I had an odd experience with their supervisor / security officer. As I approached the entrance and got ready to scan my ticket, the supervisor/security officer loudly asked if my bag had been checked. It hadn't so I said so. He went to the girl checking bags and yelled at her she needed to check every bag and I had gotten by her. What?He then set me aside, said the bag couldn't go in (which I understand because it was maybe an inch longer than their policy allowed). I told him I had travel there from LA and my back medication was in the bag, he searched my bag with his hands taking stuff out and then said I couldn't bring it in anyway. What?It was an odd experience, made only more odd by his coming back accusing my young niece of looking at someone's bag which was a cushion. What? No clue where that came from. That was a creepy experience. Now my rant: This poor man's excuse for Paul Blart Mail Cop, the love child of a Travis Tritt and ZZ Top must live a miserable life, such that a little bit of power makes him berate his coworkers and pick on a teenager and woman with a medicine bag. I will take my back pain any day than have to live a day in his pasty skin. Rant over.

University of Arizona baseball at " historic" hi Corbett field at Reid park. Newly and continually renovated with Terry Francona hitting facility in right field . Told renovated locker rooms . Big park with good sound system. We were able to sit behind a net on 3rd baseline with a 3 year old for protection. The parking is difficult and for many years had shuttle bus from el con mall, NO LONGER! Dave heeke ad u of az " this diminishes fan experience " especially for young children & elders to get to game & Park! Fri not many u of az students at game sat pm? Plenty of people with huge expensive beer cups walking around. Seems they could bring back bus shuttle even for fee? Beer down " Arizona !

I will keep this short. Besides the lack of parking Hi Corbett is cleaner than I remember. The line ups were shorter and moved faster. The field looked good. The sound was good. It is a nice venue! Staff was good.

It was a blazing speed day for us on our Spring Training tour. We got up early to drive from Phoenix down to Tuscon for a 12pm game. After a few false starts in the morning, we finally made the drive out. We got to the stadium, seemingly early (about an hour before game time) and still had to park way out. The parking format here sucks. The stadium had a high school stadium kind of feel walking in. The staff were very friendly and seemed like they were happy to be there. We did wait in line for a spin the wheel game so the other half could get a shirt with one of his fantasy baseball players names on it. Oh, the things we do......We walked around to the area that we are sure we bought tickets in and realized that our seats were way out on the other side of the stadium. Ugh. Only about 15 seats had shade and only maybe 1/3 of all the seats were stadium seating. The rest.... bleachers, and not comfortable ones either. We found ourselves on the 3rd base side with very friendly people around us, many of whom were from the bay area. Who would have thought. We were only about 12 rows up from the dugout. The stadium is pretty small so everyone has above average seats. My big complaint, the heat. Though the stadium sign said barely 79 degrees, it felt over a hundred. I think the whole in the ozone is right over this park. There is no protection what-so-ever from the sun. So, be prepared, wear a hat, bring sunblock, a spritzer, a pocket fan, and be willing to get up and go hide in the shade periodically,It was a good game, and a park with a good up close feel to it, but I wouldn't be crushed if we didn't go here again.

~3.5 stars~My rating is really for the seat "ushers" being so friendly and allowing my friend and I to grab much better seats for our game.My friend, Alex, and I came here for an NCAA Tournament Regional Baseball Playoff game. New Mexico State University was playing Louisville and we wanted to support our fellow Aggies. We scalped two general admission tickets from a fan that bought session passes for his Wildcats-- probably not necessary, but we bypassed the line and got tickets for $10 a piece. Not bad.We entered the stadium and were nicely pointed in the right direction to the "general admission" section. Um, no. Not what we were hoping for on this RECORD HEAT (107 degrees) day at 4:00 in the afternoon; all metal bleachers with no covering for shade even remotely close to the seating. I know that this is standard general admission in most ball parks, but still...We somehow decided to go to the seats right behind home plate. Fantastic idea, if I say so myself. We asked the usher if we could sit on the upper level, about 10 rows RIGHT BEHIND home plate. She grinned and said of course, just make sure if someone who has the seats kicks you out, just move again. It's a rarity to find friendly, non-snarky employees at stadiums and I'm glad she violated this norm! Around 4:45, the sweat was pouring down our bodies. Swamp a$$ much? Whoops. We didn't feel like spending a fortune on bottled water, and Alex scouted out free water from a stand. Bonus!NEGATIVE: Oooookaaaaayyy, their concession runners need to turn the annoying button to the OFF position. The one guy came by at least two dozen times. No exaggeration. And every time, SCREAMING at the top of his lungs at us the exact same thing he just did one out ago: "YOUUUU KNOOWWWWW YOU WAAAANTT A LEMONAAAADE!" ...Uh, no. We don't want your lemonade. Especially when you ask every waking moment during the game. I know that this is his job to sell food and drinks, but he approached it completely wrong. The other fans around us were voicing their dismay with this employee as well.Overall, nice ball park and even nicer employees, minus the concession runners. I'll gladly come back here for another baseball game.

Hi Corbett Field is an excellent facility for spring training. It's not the best of the Cactus League, but it's purpose is well intended. If I had to point out a couple of problems, it would be parking and the lack of speed with the concession stands. Parking can be a little tough, but it's free, where as other parks like Tucson Electric Park have a minimal charge of only $5, but a charge nonetheless. The concession stands are a bit slow, as if they too were in their own spring training. The field is easy to navigate and access to the players is simple and effective. The temperature on the scoreboard fluctuates with every breeze but for the most part is accurate, sort of. Hi Corbett Field serves its purpose, but if you visit other stadiums during spring training, you may come back to viewing Hi Corbett as a dump. Go while you can, cause the Rockies wont be here much longer.

All in all, I have great memories of my visit to Hi Corbett. It is one of the older minor league parks around - not sure if the Tucson Toros still play there. There was a section that showed a little bit about the history of the park and the Toros - quite nice.I attended a spring training game - Rockies vs White Sox. This was before both teams bolted from Tucson to newer parks in the Phoenix area - kind of a shame for the people in Tucson. Sight lines were good and the players were accessible. No. it's not a park with all the bells and whistles that most of the spring training facilities now have. But as for a place to sit back and enjoy a game - it's as good as any!

Took some family here haven't seen in a while family member broke there ankle which would've been fine but we told a 3 workers and asked for some ice for his ankle. We waited 20 minutes. They never brought it. On our way to take him to the hospital we saw the server he said he would get ice in a bag again he never did. Three employees were aware of the broken ankle. Two of which we're aware of the time passing without the ice and didn't make an attempt either they just said he'll be back. The server continued to serve tables as we waited there and as we walked out he swiped his hand at us like we were nothing. We laughed because we're kind people and said unfortunately, this is today's society. If we're not immediately benefiting them, they won't give us the time of day. My recommendation hire some adults with kindness and empathy. Because this is a memory of your business that we will never forget and Only continue to tell everybody that mentions your name.
