HDTV City

I contacted HDTV City because they are an authorized KEF dealer. I was looking for a pair of KEF M500 headphones that had just been released.Chris answered the phone, I told him what I was looking for and that they seem to be hard to find even online. Chris basically tells me if they're out there he'll find them and he'll beat any price I find; in store or online. He calls me back the same day, tells me he's located the headphones and offered me a very competitive price. Even Amazon was only at "pre-order only" at this time.I didn't take Chris up on his offer immediately. Because no one has these headphones on display to try, I didn't know how they'd feel or sound. Professional reviews raved about them, but I wanted to see more real world reviews. I was debating if I should just take the plunge and just buy them; and be one of the real world guinea pigs. A week passes and a few people on online forums took the plunge and tested them out. With even more great reviews, I contacted Chris and told him I wanted them.Chris placed the order for me and the transaction was fast and easy. There are a few vendors online now that have them in stock and ready to ship, but I chose to order from Chris still. I appreciated his no nonsense customer service right off the bat. He is also really friendly and laid back. Also I get to support a local business. There's no high pressure sales even after he shows you he'll beat any price out there. If you're looking for those hard to find items or higher end items that Walmart, Costco, Bestbuy etc. don't carry, go find Chris. Even if you're not an electronic geek looking to spend thousands on a TV or thousands on speakers, Chris carries and can order a wide range of products. He even advertises in front of his store that he'll beat Bestbuy, so why not give him a try.

Two stars is for the service. Other than that this place sucks! Bought a smart tv that was trouble from the beginning. Also purchased an LG tv and blu-ray. Blu-ray stopped working called hdtv and was advised to call LG customer service. After an afternoon of phone calls with people I couldn't even understand, it came down to this model being very old. Also couldn't find my receipt and when I called hdtv city to see if they had it in there records. They told me it was archived so it would be a $25 charge! Are you kidding???After you sell me a worthless blu-ray??? What a shame. I'm all for supporting local business, but I will never go back there again.Two stars for the one tv that works.

Went in today looking for speaker stands for a pair of bookshelfs, and looking forward to the "Beat Any Price," I saw advertised. I was not disappointed. The storefront was clean, organized, and I got a greeting right as I walked in the door. The salesperson (Chris) was knowledgeable about his products, and the availability of ordering outside of the store. I ended up ordering Sonus 31" stands for cheaper than part-express, which was awesome. The only thing they were missing was the Bel Canto/Magnepan demo for me to loiter in. I'll be coming here for my home theatre this-and-thats from now on.

You can't help but stop in when you see a sign outside that says "We'll beat Best Buy's prices".We've been looking at buying a home theater system so we stopped in to see what they had. I was ready for the usual hard sell that you get from the big boxes but it was far from that.We told Nick what we had been looking at. He showed us different, less expensive options that were very comparable in sound and performance. He also made sure to give us spec sheets on the different systems as well. There was no hard sell, no "You have to buy this now!!". It was a great experience.No, the store isn't very fancy but it didn't need to be. It's the service that spoke volumes to us and, when we're ready to buy our system, we'll head back and get it there. Buy local and support local!!!

Passed by here a few times and decided to stop in. Chris was super uber knowledgable and Schooled me on aspects of home theaters I've never even heard of! He gave me a smoking deal and I even haggled a little with him. I'm so glad I left Best Buy and stopped in here, fast, personal service with a super knowledgable staff, I'll be picking up all my home theatre gear from now on, SUCK IT BEST BUY!!!!

Do your homework here. My son went to the store when working in the area and suggested we check them out. We we're told several things that we're NOT true after I bought a 65" Sony 4K tv along with a Sony media player.I was told at first that the media player contained 70 4K movies and that the reason this product is $700.00 was because of all the content. NOT TRUE. Chris even said "I use it all the time and it's great." When I picked up the player, I was told it might be 50 movies. HUH?I contacted Sony support and they verified that the only FREE stuff was several movie trailers and some general 3-5 minute videos. All worthless to me.I have tried to return this for a refund but now there is no response.FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!!!!

Like any small business these guys are eager to please. They really want to sell their product to you and are willing to work with you to make that happen. You can negotiate with them in a way you can't with a big box store and I like that. Try to talk to the owner. He really knows his stuff. The store itself is not really glamorous like a Best Buy or something but it's really straightforward. No frills. All the TVs are lined up next to each other in the storefront so you can really compare them. I wouldn't go anywhere else to get another TV.

Recently came here to purchase a home surround sound system for father's day. Chris was very nice and very helpful, helping us figure out which speakers would work best for us, yet not pressuring us into a sale. Bruce, the guy who did the installation, was top of the line. Fun and knowledgeable guy. If you are looking for a home theatre system, look no further. These guys are the best.

I can not talk enough about how GREAT i was treated. They were so Wonderful and helpful explaning the different options on the all the DIfferent TV's. I will never go anywhere else. Chris sold me my tv and he was also the one to come out and give me free delivery and set up. thanks guys we love this place!!!!!!
