Best breakfast deal in town. $5.99 for 2 eggs, hash brown and toast. Even cheaper during the week.Been coming here since 2000 . Come early as it fills up quick.

From the moment you walk in and are greeted by the gal at the front, you know you're in for some down home diner action. Lively atmosphere, friendly and fast service by our server, and delicious coffee and omelettes. Even the sour dough toast was still warm, buttery and crunchy when brought to our table. My friend had a Swiss, mushroom and bacon omelette and I had the Rooster special, which had (excellent) big chunks of green chile, ham and American cheese on top. So delicious. I got a side of their (delicious) homemade salsa since I like to eat that with eggs, as well as hash browns, which were crunchy and golden on top, moist in the middle. Truly epic breakfast. Next time I'll try their sour cherry French toast or blueberry pancakes and bacon - and if they are as good as today's experience, will up my rating to a 5.

4.5/5! The eggs, hash browns, and flavors overall of the country fried steak were delicious. The corned beef hash was also really good. Service was fast and friendly :)

We were down on this side of town for some service on my Harley and wanted breakfast. This place is just down the road from the dealer and easy to find. We both ordered the biscuits and gravy. The biscuit was fluffy and moist and quite large. The gravy was a nice country gravy with lots of chunks of sausage. We both enjoyed our breakfast and if we ever need a place for breakfast on this side of town we will be back, if for no other reason then to try other things. Highly recommended.

We are regular breakfast customers (for years), so we thought we would try Happy Rooster Cafe for dinner. We were VERY disappointed. Only one server (who said she is usually the a.m. cook), and she was overwhelmed waiting on tables, acting has the hostess/cashier, advising the "new" cook in the kitchen, and acting as the manager. The food was subpar; skimpy serving of not very good beef liver (had to ask for another piece since the serving was so small), the ground round with gravy (not a good brown gravy) and the added mushrooms for an additional charge were practically non-existent, the fresh green beans served as the vegetable were slightly under cooked with no seasoning, our daughter's chicken tenders were inedible (first small portion over cooked and replacement tenders came out of kitchen much later and we not very appealing, I ordered a tomato soup (served cold) in an extremely small bowl and brought to the table after we got the entree and my wife ordered a side salad which came with a mound of shredded cheese and a large slice of raw onion - not very appetizing) that was also served after her entree was served (both should of been served before our meals), and our busy server never came around to refill our drinks. Our meals took a long time to come out of the kitchen (obviously understaffed). And the most painful experience was watching the young girl bussing the dirty tables (obviously poorly trained and doing double duty as the dishwasher), walked up and back slowly with dirty dishes to a cart, which was on wheel near the kitchen door, that could have easily been wheeled next to the table she was cleaning to more efficiently do her job, and once the table was cleared of dirty plates she did not clean and sanitize the tables (no spray or rag with her cart).We'll still stop by now and then for breakfast/brunch, but the dinner is a no go, especially for the price (over $60.00 for 3 people) and the lack of value or quality.

It's been a while since I've stopped into Happy Rooster, so when my pops and brother said let's have breakfast, I suggested it. The last few times I went, it had been meh, but I wanted to try it again since time had passed.Today, it was a sure-fire hit. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I got my old fave Sonoran roast beef sandwich and chose tots for my side. Tots were fresh and crispy. Sandwich was stacked on perfectly toasted sourdough, full of meat and gooey cheese, and plenty of green chiles. My dad enjoyed his omelet, and my brother devoured his chicken fried steak breakfast. I even took home some hashbrowns and bacon for my wife, who is allergic to wheat. Our server said the hashbrowns are cooked on the grill and away from other wheat products, where as the home fries go into a deep fryer that other wheat products go, also. So I'm happy for her recommendation and my wife was happy with her take-out.

My father brought me here and the food is delicious and love the art work on the walls.

The food taste is above average. Portion is average to small for the price. For example the burger was decent but the bun was a size too small and that made for a very messy experience. Come on man, the burger bun is major important...give me a real bun!Service is pretty good considering how busy this place gets.Ambiance is very cool with all the western chicken characters and town. I would highly recommend this cute diner!
