I decided to check out Hana Tokyo in Sierra Vista since it was right next to my hotel. The restaurant has plenty of parking and ample seating, so finding a spot or a table isn't an issue. Since I was dining alone, I opted to sit at the bar instead of doing the full hibachi experience. My server/bartender was on their first day, and while I understand the learning curve, the service felt a bit lacking especially considering the restaurant was completely empty more than an hour after opening. I get that they were likely prepping for reservations, but with no other customers, I expected a little more attentiveness.I ordered the filet mignon with shrimp and fried rice, which came with soup and salad. Unfortunately, the food was pretty bland. Maybe the chef in the back wasn't the best, or perhaps less effort was put into a solo diner's meal, but either way, it didn't impress.Another thing I noticed the music was a little strange, not really fitting the vibe of the restaurant. On top of that, all the TVs in the restaurant were on except for the ones at the bar, which made sitting there feel even more unwelcoming.Overall, Hana Tokyo has potential, but my experience was underwhelming. With its spacious seating, convenient parking, and room to improve, I'd be open to giving it another shot. Hopefully, with a busier atmosphere, better food, a more fitting playlist, and working bar TVs, it'll be a better experience.

Pretty disappointed with my takeout experience here. Every time I'm come here I love this place, but the order we got tonight was bad. We got a special roll, spicy tuna, and gyoza. The special roll was good (albeit lukewarm). The spicy tuna roll was room temperature, old, tasted fishy, and the rice was old. It was clearly not made in the last hour or if it was, the tuna was old. The gyoza was also old and lukewarm. It was also not freshly made. Really disappointed and won't risk food poisoning to come back here.

Has been a while since I was last here. So consider this an update. 10/02/2023. Ordered the steak lunch hibachi, 5piece sushi lunch that came with a California roll with sides of salad and miso soup. First, I ordered water with lemon because who wants to pay $5 for soft drink? I'm glad water is still free here. Second, the miso soup was quite tasty. Did not seem watered down. Probably the best part of my entire meal. The salad was over dressed. Take a look at the pictures if you don't believe me. The dressing did taste good, but too much! Third, my sushi lunch with Cali roll came out next. 5 pieces of sushi and their version of a Cali roll. The crab was a crab salad. The sushi rice was too moist and was not very pleasant to eat. All of the sushi rice was not very good at all. They did not bring out any wasabi and ginger but asked if I wanted any?!? Isn't that usually standard? At least they couldn't mess up the fish.Lastly, the steak hibachi came out. My coworkers also had the same. The steak tasted like yesterday's cold steak reheated and chopped into a kids bite size portion. The food was heated to that of the inside of a Star Wars Taun-Taun - Luke warm! The tempora vegetables could have been cut in half so you can dip them into the provided tempura sauce. The pieces were also very thick. A huge generous portion of rice. The 2 pieces of gyoza are probably premade store type frozen and reheated. No sauce to dip them into.My coworkers agreed that the food was not up to its past standards. We left a lot of food on our plates. One thing to note is that the prices are very high. Part due to inflation. 2 pieces of sushi will cost you $7.50-$8.50. The lunch meals are around $15 and the sushi rolls go from $10 to $22 depending on the roll. Oh and my coworker had to ask for wasabi and ginger! Why??????I am extremely disappointed in the food here today. Not sure if I will be back anytime soon. I know my coworkers won't be.

First things first; nothing was what it was supposed to be. Our order took far too long to arrive. The appetizer arrived after the entrees. We asked for it twice and once it arrived, we knew they forgot and quickly made it. The shell was both soggy and crispy but undercooked. I ordered Tunkatsu and received pork katsu. There was no cabbage and the sauce was on the side (not traditional). It was over salted and on a bed of 2Lbs of rice. I think this restaurant insults the customers on their knowledge of Japanese cuisine. The miso soup was great but the salad was over dressed (get the dressing on the side). Then there was the "Fishbowl", $20 for a round eight ounce glass made to look much larger. I don't recommend anything I ordered but the choice is yours. Cute decor but mediocre food and service.

Ordered Chicken Katsu. I was so thinly sliced all I saw or tasted was heavy breading. I couldn't eat it and sent it back. The interior is nice with a bar and private seating.Food needs improvement before I would return.Sushi was popular but I am not a fan.

$46 for a frozen meal and a Dr. Pepper. The restaurant was empty besides myself and my party. Took over an hour to receive my "hibachi"The chef was "hurt" and the grills were not operating. I asked if he was okay and they said yes. Hope he's okay.I would rather pay $46 to sign a petition for them to close their doors for good.Never pair this meal with a morning in Tombstone hungover, it will be the longest day of your life. Please learn from my mistakes.

I ordered the filet mignon& Lonster tail habachi. It looks fine but tastelike shit. The meat is kinda marinated and It smells bad. The lobster taste like dead fish somehow. Can't believe spent $66 dollar for a nasty fried rice. I think the chef just left this place. That's why the food taste really fked up.

I would not even feed this to someone on death row... I should have listened to previous reviews, and gone elsewhere. First things first, when I sat down and took a sip of my water, I nearly spit my water everywhere because something that looked like a worm came up through my straw. The waiter came and gave me a new water that tasted like it came from a dog dish. After that was the salad. I ordered Yaki Udon with chicken and it came with a side salad. The salad had hair in it.... And not just like one, it had 3 or 4 before I stopped looking. Then came the Udon. Chicken was like rubber, it felt like I was chewing rubber mulch from a children's playground. And the noodles were clearly frozen and reheated. They were so slimy and watery, very evident they aren't real fresh noodles. All of the vegetables were so soggy and dense with water, and they tasted old. I avoided eating all the vegetables. Overall a terrible experience. Empty restaurant for a reason. Do not go here.
