We got into Tuscon late at night and cruised around looking for the best vintage motel sign and the Hacienda Motel won. This place has the strongest 1960's American roadside motel vibes, probably because that's what it used to be! The new GM, Kevin, checked us in and was a doll about me being fussy about room locations. The rooms were clean and cute and well appointed. We had little porches and great common outdoor hangout areas and the pool was beyond adorable, a great place to chill and unwind after a long day of driving. If you're looking for an interesting, convenient place to stay skip the interstate box motels and go check in with Kevin

I stayed there for one night and I thought it was wonderfull. I enjoyed spending the night there. I heard the train at 5 30 but since I am usually up, I did not mind it. It's a very quiet place, and the people that work there seem to be very happy and helpful. I would suggest this place to a friend...

Welcome to hell. This hotel has the worst flea and bed bug problem in the area. When I confronted the owner about these issues an hour into my stay, he stated there are no bugs in his hotel and he has an exterminator come every month. I asked him which exterminator and he was unable to tell me. I immediately asked for a refund and was told because I had the keys for over an hour he would not refund my credit card. Be warned

We stayed in a couple different weeklies this summer while waiting for our apartment to be ready for move-in. The Hacienda was by far the best on this side of town. I don't know what it was like before, but I believe they have new management. They are working hard on renovating the entire place. Dan was WONDERFUL. Remembered our names from day 1 and was very very nice. He went well out of his way to accommodate us, even brought an extra twin bed in for our little girl, and hooked us up with a larger fridge, since we needed to have groceries in our room rather than eat out. When the fridge had a defrosting problem, it was replaced within 30 minutes. The rooms are clean, bedding clean and fresh and towels appeared to be brand new. The remodeling is skillfully done, grounds are well-kept, lots of happy shrubs and plant life. Security was present and I felt safe. We had no issues whatsoever. For a weekly motel, this a nice little gem in that area. Can't beat it for the price, especially off-season. Thanks, Dan!

We happened upon this cute roadside motel while road tripping through Tucson! Kevin, the GM, made every effort to accommodate our big group and made us feel right at home! The rooms are freshly painted and clean comfortable beds and the vibe is very chill! Thanks for everything Kevin and the Hacienda Motel!

How are there possibly good reviews here unless they're faked? My wife and I just stayed here as we were in town for a comedy show at The "O" down the street. Not knowing Tucson we chose this on the reviews and proximity to the club alone. I'm not a hotel snob. I've had good trips staying in dives. I worked in the hospitality industry for years and I know how hard employees work. I know what it is to pull bedding and towels and clean a room. I always throw out my used soap and shampoo upon leaving, dump my trash and leave all towels, wash cloth's etc on the counter in a single pile so the house keeper doesn't have to bend down. I like old places and history but come on... This isn't a hotel or motel. It's something else. There are rooms with no furniture; although to be fair they were painting so maybe that's why. There are people hanging out that appear to be living there. Some kid was mad dogging me as I walked up to the office at the very first. We had two light towels in our bathroom and nothing more. No cups, the room was never serviced across two nights. The sink was painted long ago and most of the paint has worn off. The room was tiled which was refreshing except the bottoms of our feet were black after minutes of walking around. The gentleman in the office was very nice but there is no late check-in after 9pm. The Internet is blazing fast though! The worst part was the bottom sheet didn't fit the bed and there was no mattress cover. We went crazy pulling the corners back down just to wake again on the bare mattress. She now has bites all over her legs and we are laundering everything we had with us just in case. We couldn't lock the dead bolt from the outside. And... As we were leaving, in broad daylight, we saw an older man with a cain get out of his car with what clearly appeared to be a prostitute. They went straight into a room, shut the door and closed the blinds. The room rate was $65 flat. The next major street east, there are many nice hotels. For that rate we could have Priceline'd a Marriott Courtyard near the airport. By checkout we didn't go sightseeing or anything. The aftertaste of this place just made us want to run from town. The man who works there (manager I believe) is so nice and you could see him trying so hard. He was actually the reason we hung around and rode it out. But not knowing exactly who and what was happening there was beyond unsettling. I really think I would feel differently if the bed sheet situation was better and the security concerns were totally addressed and if the room had cost significantly less.
