Grumpy's Grill

Stopped by after browsing yelp on our way out Tucson after attending a UA game the day before . Had great reviews so stopped in , the place was packed but didn't wait long and the waitress was wonderful. Service was amazing and food was delicious. Would definitely stop in again if in the area.

First time here and brought by family members while visiting Tucson. This diner is located in a strip mall and we had about a five minute wait for a table. They were busy! It's not a huge place so think cozy as you move around getting to your table or to the restrooms. Their breakfast menu has some great choices and they offer a weekday special that's $9.00 and includes eggs, meat, potatoes, and toast. This was what one of our party ordered and it was a great plate of food for this cost. Her eggs were done just the way she ordered them and I loved that the toast was cooked and not raw! I had the pancakes, which were great and very big! There were three of them along with butter and syrup. Light, fluffy...but a few of bites had remnants of onion, which led to a couple of interesting bites. Chalked it up to being cooked on the same griddle as other foods. Wife ordered the biscuit & gravy, which you are offered a full or half order. She got the full which came with two biscuits. She said the gravy was full of sausage and very flavorful, I took a quick taste and thought it was a bit thick but she enjoyed it. We also ordered the cinnamon roll, which was good, sticky, gooey, and sweet. Our server, Reba, was great, friendly and efficient. She constantly checked in to make sure waters and coffees were filled and we had what we needed.Good experience overall!

We made it to Grumpy's twice while vacationing in Tucson, AZ.The first time was for breakfast. It was on a Sunday morning and the place was super busy. Grumpy's is located in a strip mall and the outside looks as if it's a store, but then you walk in and it's a really nice restaurant. The staff couldn't be nicer. Even with a number of people waiting, it was well organized and moved well.Our second time there was for an early dinner and it was just as nice. The food was good both time (forgot to take pictures).

Just an average Mom/Pop Cafe.Seems like a neighborhood joint.Decent enough breakfast.

My family goes here sometimes for a celebration, or just because. And every time it is never a miss. The good is always delicious, I definitely recommend their buffalo chips. They're better than their fries, even though their fries are still really good. The employees are very kind and they are very accommodating.This place is very good and if anyone is looking for just a nice, easy bite to eat for lunch, Grumpys is it.

We had a starter which was the house salad with Catalina dressing. The server was great. This restaurant is a nice diner on Ina I had the prime rib dinner which is served on Saturday night with the fixings.

Another great breakfast at Grumpy's Grill with quick service. This place does not disappoint.

I used to come here for various meals when I lived in the area and I always enjoyed it. Most recent trip was early morning and it was really pleasant! Fast friendly service, same quaint atmosphere, clean and not too loud. They do have a full service bar but it doesn't feel like a bar.. ya know;) We both had the chicken fried steak breakfast and I was just too hungry to take a pic but it was stellar and very filling ! Definitely a good local spot if you are in the area!

Been here several times and really enjoy it. This isn't fine dining but nobody said it was. But the food QUALITY? It's outstanding in my opinion. And the service is great, I mean great. We usually have Heidi as our server and she does a fantastic job. Remembered our favorites after ONE visit and now it's an ongoing thing. She is sweet, friendly, easy to talk to, really excellent at timing (check on drinks, check on food, additional condiments, etc.), and manages to keep a lot of people happy simultaneously (she's got a lot of regulars who are her fans, understandably). And she's flexible with substitutions and things like that.I really haven't had anything I didn't like, and I've loved a lot of dishes, particularly the buffalo chicken wrap, the club sandwich, the burger, turkey wrap, southwest wrap. Fries are crispy and delicious. Even the onion rings are good - not too greasy, and not humongous like some are. You can cut them the the onion won't slither out of the breading. Chicken wings are excellent, and pretzels are a standout - crispy brown outside, moist chewy inside, just the right amount of salt, and great cheese sauce to dip. We often get them to go and eat the wings in the restaurant.Happy hour is a great deal, wine prices and selection are excellent.It's in a strip mall with plenty of parking, I like the location at Shannon & Ina.It's a go-to, I'll tell you THAT.
