I want to write about the excellent customer service Kevin provided me above and beyond what I expected. From the Hydrologic site, Growers House is a supplier of Hydrologic parts. We have a Hydrologic high pressured reverse osmosis system.A prefilter Evolution filter housing had cracked and finding a new filter housing wasn't easy and we weren't able to. Hydrologic was bought out by another company and were no longer selling their products, rather you can only get the parts and systems from their suppliers or online places. Calling places and scouring the internet to no avail.I decided to go outside of the Phoenix area and call Growers House in Tucson. We were desperate and were willing to drive to Tucson, if they had a good filter housing for our system. Kevin made calls and today found me a new filter housing that would be shipped to the their Phx site. We were willing to drive.But, it turns out, Hydrologic was willing to ship to me directly and I'm so grateful to Kevin for taking the extra time to make calls and find me what I needed. I definitely will come to here for my growing needs. Thanks again, Kevin! You outdid all the Phoenix Hydrologic suppliers who were not all that helpful. Thanks for going above and beyond.

How are you Morgan, Nate? Things are going well for you guys making that dirty money. These guys will take your money and not think twice about. Don't waste your money here. I recieved a faulty unit which is nobody's fault but upon returning the product, I ended up paying for return shipping which was not a problem because I agreed to it but upon receiving the replacement unit, they sent me an older model. After much frustration I decided to get a refund as opposed to getting another replacement. They claimed that they sent the same unit and will be charging a restocking fee and not refunding me for the accessories needed for the unit to be operational. They don't have the balls to answer the phone to handle these issues over the phone. They will reply to emails days at a time. Don't waste your money.

Ordered a few cords online for almost $70 with shipping, and they only sent one. Its been 3 days now and they still haven't responded to multiple emails. Not too stoked as i needed the cords this week. And now everything is at least a week behind schedule, so im probably going to have to find another distributor to use.

I was in a bit a trouble with my indoor plants and was luckily able to make it to growers house in time for my plants. I've had good and bad experiences here. Ray has been great to work with, but I recently bought two new items that were broken, and only noticed when I got home. When I returned the items, I was greeted with a snarky comment, and that same employee questioned my integrity on the returns. Needless to say, I don't feel valued as a repeat customer, and I'll think twice about purchasing from Grower's House.

Is this even a legitimate business? This was my first experience with this company and after a thorough conversation with Morgan (as thorough as you can get when his phone cuts out half the time), I settled on purchasing a Phantom Dual 315w (630w) CMH System. The light system can be purchased with two Philips 4200k bulbs or two 3100k. I explained that I would be purchasing an extra bulb so I could run one of each in the duel fixture and asked if it mattered which bulb was purchased separately and was told that it did not so I purchased the system with two 4200k bulbs and added the extra 3100k bulb to my order along with the ratchet straps necessary to hang. I explained that I needed the light as soon as possible and asked if this light was in stock. I was told that the light is shipped directly from the manufacturer and they usually ship within a day or two but there could an unforeseen delay from the manufacturer. I placed my order on Fri Oct 30 and was pleasantly surprised to see the light arrive the following Monday on Nov 2.This is the ONLY positive experience that I had with this company and ironically, the experience came from the fast shipping of the manufacturer of the light NOT Growers House. The only tracking number I received from my order with Growers House was the tracking number on the light system that arrived on Nov 2 and the bulb and ratchet system to hang it was not in the shipping box as the light was sent from the manufacturer. I did not have a separate shipping confirmation number on the rest of my order or a tracking number. I waited a couple days assuming the rest of the items would be coming soon and when they did not arrive, I called back (same old wait in long queue line) to find out where the rest of the items were that I needed to hang the light. I was informed that my order had not been sent as the bulb I ordered was out of stock. What? I specifically asked if the items I was ordering were in stock and was told they were and I also did not receive any email or notice that my order would be delayed due to an item being out of stock. At the time of the order I also said I was flexible on what extra light I purchased and could have easily switched to the phantom fixture with two 3100k bulbs and purchased the 4200k bulb separately had they informed me the 3100k bulb was out of stock. None of this made sense. I was told that the 3100k bulb would be in stock the next day and sent out immediately and here I am a week later, not one word- no shipping notification, no tracking number, no package and yet, the bulb has been showing in stock the entire time on their website. I had to go out and purchase a new ratchet system to hang the light and ended up suspending it with the two 4200k bulbs as the other bulb was never sent. I attempted to contact the company again this evening and after waiting on hold for a lengthy period of time being 6 in queue and finally getting up to the #1 spot, I reached a recording that I HAD to leave a message - an option available to me the last 15 minutes sitting in queue! Even their phone system seems pretty sketchy. Needless to say, this was my first and very last time EVER ordering from this company as I am still sitting without the items I ordered two weeks ago with no explanation or even a confirmation number. I wish I would have read reviews sooner but I wanted to put my experience out here for anyone considering doing business with this company- DON'T. The customer service is horrible, you are lied to about what is in stock and what is being shipped -anything for a quick sale it seems. You will not get confirmation numbers or tracking information (unless it is coming from the manufacturer) and you will be forced to deal with a horrendous phone system and if you do reach someone, you will get the run-around on what is/isn't happening. Steer clear of this unprofessional company!

These people are generally dishonest. They have product photos/descriptions that are inaccurate. (Still inaccurate after being told two months ago). They don't publish product questions that call into question the product description/photos.I contacted them through chat 2 months ago to clarify what looked like misleading photos. I was given inaccurate info (by "Ben"). I later ordered the product and it contained the parts he said it didn't contain.I wrote a 4-star product review for that product. I like the product (not ranting, or anything like that. But, raising some concerns about features -- offering constructive advice for how to use it properly). The review was never published (just like the product question 2 months earlier).The impression is they only want you to see what they agree with, and don't listen to their customers.When I asked to speak to the owner of the company before writing this review, I was told I can't. I can only talk to the people who are the problem, and they'll relay whatever the owner needs to know.My takeaway from dealing with this company is that you're reading cherry-picked reviews. They don't place honesty & integrity high on the list of business practice. And, there's not much discipline there. The owner seems disengaged. EDIT: For example, look at the Yelp review by Sinobahn -- the only review where Nate (the owner) replies. He goes to great length blaming the product supplier, not his own inept and undisciplined customer-support staff for leaving the customer in a lurch, holding their money before shipping. I read Sinobahn's review as a critique of Growershouse, and how frustrating it is to deal with them. They don't value their customers. Nate doesn't even see it. To him, it was all a supplier problem. The customer had a relationship with the supplier, and Growershouse can do no wrong.If you know what you're looking for, and it's a good price. By all means, buy it.But, if there's any uncertainty, DO NOT trust anything these people say. They "curate" the product questions & reviews to hide problems. Product info may be incorrect. The real problem is that they don't care (and ignore it when it's brought to their attention. They're dishonest.). Basically, they're all "output." They don't listen to input. Look at me. I took the time to ask a product question (they deleted it). I took the time to contact their worthless support staff. I got incorrect info. I took the time to purchase the product anyway (two months later). I took the time to write an *informative* product review (which improves upon GrowersHouse's inaccurate product description). They deleted it. Instead of valuing the contribution a customer makes to their business, they don't want it. (They just want to tell you what they want you to hear.). Even when I asked to speak to the owner before escalating this way, nope. You'd think a company would value customers eager to improve the buying & support experience. Nope. They aren't the problem. It's either the supplier or you.
