Green Valley Decorative Rock

Friendly staff and definitely helpful. Unfortunately I purchased approximately $500+ worth of rock and when it was delivered, there was a significant amount of dirt and mud mixed in. I totally understand some, but a significant amount that would skew the weight on a load. When I called to see how they could rectify the situation, I was told there was nothing they would do and that just part of the product. In the future, I will probably find another company to purchase decorative rock from. From neighbors and the workers that helped me, they recommend Pioneer. I plan on shopping there in the future.

I'm really unsure on how they're rocking a 3 star rating. Make sure to bring two things with you if you're looking to purchase stone to cover areas like your front or back yard: Measurement in sq ft, and a sample of rock if you're trying to match. I did both and ordering was a breeze with fair prices, ended up with 9 tons of half inch rock. They setup delivery for the date and 4 hour time window requested. They were great to call me the day before to verify the order and call prior to the delivery. They got a flat tire and were a few hours later than expected, but they were polite and communicated consistently to update me on the plan. Definitely would recommend and would be a return customer!

Two years later and I still recommend GVDR for all your inert materials needs. Timely, professional and easy to work with. Just got a delivery today and the driver was friendly and professional and he didn't even run over my plants on the way out like some of those dudes do. Rock on w Green Valley.

Good selection of material, staff is friendly and helpful, prices are reasonable. We've gotten several loads of decomposed granite of various sizes for our properties around town which we haul ourselves and river rocks for lining our driveway. Be aware if you're hauling your own they don't use scales you drive on entering and leaving as some other places do, it's done by the yard or half yard amounts. A full yard about completely fills a full size pickup bed and may be a bit adventurous if you don't have a pretty stiff suspension on your vehicle.

Exceptional service in both the office and from the driver. We live 15 miles from Green Valley so planning deliveries here can be a chore. We ordered 10yds on Monday and they worked us into the Wednesday delivery schedule. Driver was right in the middle of the delivery window and great about splitting the material into the two locations we requested. This is the 4th time we have used them for our rock deliveries and we will keep visiting them in the future!

The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating and they have a nice variety of materials.I am exending my patio on the back of my house. I needed Aggregate base for the compacted survace under the sand where the pavers will be laid. Zach worked with the staff at CABCO to have the AB loaded into bins and delivered on the same truck, saving me an additional delivery charge. I will be purchasing my landscape rock from them when I get to that part of my yard.

Their delivery person clipped two of our house beams. Mike, the owner was on it. He hired a handyman to fix the damage and gave us a gift certificate to a local restaurant. Customer appreciation at its finest!

We have done business with Green Valley (Decorative) Rock for decades. However, the new owners refuse to accept responsibility for delivering the wrong rock which they have now done twice. It is a problem to have piles of the wrong color or size in your yard. We all make mistakes but to deny that possibility and refuse to make any attempt to correct the issue makes them a business that can't be trusted.

I took a sample of the decorative rock with me when I ordered 4 tons of Desert Brown 3/4 " to supplement the rock already in my yard. I learned that they sell in cubic yards but could deliver the equivalent of 4 tons. The rock was delivered as scheduled and it's been downhill from there. The pile looked very very small as compared to other deliveries over the years. The rocks were much larger than expected and way off color (it had large pieces of off white rock) from "Desert Brown." Worse, as I started to shovel, the pile was filled with dirt. I emailed and sent photos immediately to complain and received a call from Zac, the manager of the Wetmore location. He said that was normal and couldn't be helped. He suggested that when I washed off the rock it would look better. I loaded a wheelbarrow full and spread it. Because it's such a poor match, to use the rock I would have to remove current rock from less visable places(underneath shrubs and cactus) use the Green Valley load, and then spread what I already have in visable areas. Not acceptable. I have been in denial for months and haven't spread the rock. On Monday, I helped a friend who is out of town and signed for her delivery of 5 tons of 3/4 " Desert Brown rock from Pioneer. Exactly the rock that I thought I ordered from Green Valley. So it does exist. No silt, just rocks. I took pictures of that load and my pile and emailed to Green Valley, again noting my dissatisfaction. Zac again replied, and this is an actual quote, "we can not guarantee or have control of any precise shade, color or sizing of the material." SERIOUSLY? Why does the company have samples on display and say it would match what I brought in? There's no way I'm spreading that rock and now will have to reorder from another company and lay out more money! Amazing! Stay away or be real sure what you think you're getting from Green Valley.
