Nice big menu to choose from with fresh and delicious food. The seafood mix dish with vegetables was beautiful! I will not order lemon chicken and orange chicken again they are similar as battered and deep fried with citrus and sweet sauce. The Mongolian chicken will never disappoint me. Staff were friendly and attentive. Clean and beautiful dining area.

Off Harrison, small parking lot. Looks closed from the outside.Ambiance/Cleanliness-Dingy, massive amount of paper goods and cleaning supplies stockpiled out in the open towards the front of the dining room..Skeeved me a bit..2 starsService-brought my food. Unwelcoming. 2 starsFood-was edible, but not great. Hot and Sour soup was warm and weak. Crab puffs were dry...would not go back. 2 stars.

I have been to Great Village several times since my move back to Tucson. It's always fresh, delicious and has a great variety of menu items. Lunch prices 7 days a week. Service is always on point, friendly and attentive. As I mentioned before, the boxes stashed at the front, behind the counter, in the dining room by the front of the restaurant are definitely a mystery. I understand they use them for take out or delivery, but they certainly don't need as many as they have. Still, they are neatly stacked and not dirty. People seem to be annoyed by them but it doesn't take away from the good food. It's none of my business what they want to do with their boxes. It's a very old building. They have been in that location over 30 years, same owners and that's what keeps me returning.

Not impressed.Went to Great Village on a Monday afternoon and placed a to-go order and waited for it. The good:Service was fast and relatively friendly.Consistent pricing with other Chinese restaurant pricesHot & Sour soup was deliciousWonton soup was deliciousMongolian Beef was good (my husband's opinion)Dining room looked pleasant and clean enough although we did not eat there. The bad:Lunch special Sesame chicken had NO spice whatsoever. Just small, very hard and dry chunks of chicken in a sweet sauce. I expected it to be served on a bed of white rice (my fault for not reading the menu well enough) but was instead served with fried rice....fried rice that had no vegetables or anything in it. Very bland.Add-on egg roll with the lunch special was very, very small.Crab Rangoons had about a half measuring teaspoon of filling in each one. Mongolian Beef was just okay (my opinion).Lobby area is full of empty cardboard boxes stacked all over. Made it look messy and unsanitary.

My wife really enjoys the orange chicken from Great Village. We try to come 1-2x/week, depending on our schedules. The food is always made fresh and accurately. The staff are friendly and call in orders are welcome. If we lived closer I know for sure we'd be dinning here much more often. I'm a beef and broccoli fan and they make it delicious here. Prices and portions are appropriate.

With the mixed reviews I wasn't sure what to expect, however I was very pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is quintessential Chinese. I'm not sure why the boxes bother people - but yes they are there neatly stacked. The service was efficient and the food came out hot and tasty. The sweet and sour soup was yummy, and I was here for lunch so had the house lo mien with egg roll. Very generous portions and excellent food. I recommend this place - reminiscent of some of my favorites in San Francisco.

Best sizzling rice soup in Tucson. Great food and casual atmosphere. The server is very attentive and friendly. Most places charge for rice, they don't. Definitely recommend this place!Just be aware that they can get quite busy at times.

The food was pretty good. I didn't like the fact that the sweet and sour sauce was mixed into the dish. The restaurant was busy. Overall a pretty good experience.

Been eating here regularly since I moved here in 2005, the menu is deep and offers all sort of options, the food and service is consistently good, the portions substantial, can't say I have ever been disappointed. It's a great place for lunch, many choices on the lunch special menu. I'm a big eater and rarely leave without at least a snacks worth of leftovers for later. If you're a light eater, you'll most likely have enough leftover for another meal.
