Golden House

This is a small restaurant within a strip mall. But don't let that stop you! The service was amazing. Staff was quick to refill drinks. They were not overly attentive but kept a watch. When we were done eating, we didn't have to wait for someone to offer take home containers and the bill which was really nice. The best part was the fantastic food. My daughter and I both ordered the orange chicken. This chicken was nothing like I was expecting. It was better! My mom ordered sweet and sour shrimp. She absolutely loved it. We live in Alaska but will definitely be back before we head home.

We went to this place while visiting with family. I got the dumplings, wonton soup and mu shu pork. The dumplings were strange-the wrapper was dry. Tasty inside. I expected either steamed or fried so the outside texture was a bit off-putting. I got a small wonton soup with chicken and it was a very small bowl-1 wonton, 1 piece of chicken. The mu shu pork was good! I liked this place because they could accommodate my request for no garlic or onion. My husband got sweet and sour soup which was actually half egg drop and half sweet and sour because he didn't want it spicy. He said it was good. He got shrimp mu shu which he didn't like-he didn't like the shrimp as the mu shu so it was more of a personal dislike, not that the dish wasn't cooked well.

Wow, this place is soooo good! Tonight, we got the Mongolian vegan chicken, vegan sesame chicken, shrimp lo mein, crab puffs, and veggie drumsticks.The Mongolian fish smelled like it came straight off the grill. It was so delicious and spicy just like we asked for it! No oily like most places. The sesame dish was amazing, crispy on the outside and soft inside, not overly sweet. Best crab puffs I have ever had! The young man at the front was so sweet and helped me with options! They had the most beautiful trees inside as well.I really really wish I lived closer to this place. I would go all the time. The service is great and so is the food! You have to try it!

Great little place! The service is amazing. Very friendly and welcoming. The food is fresh and well prepared. Our favorite was the lo mein with chicken. Delicious flavor and generous portions

Great healthy Chinese food. Eat in or take out, food is always fantastic. Staff are always pleasant and kind. Nice quiet dinner atmosphere/ambiance.

I was in the area and as usual, craving Chinese food. Neighbors on Next Door mentioned this place, so I came in. Small place, clean and friendly. I ordered shrimp lw/vegetables. It was very tasty, egg drop soup was good. I was served some crispy noodles to munch on as well. Everything was delicious, fresh and served piping hot. Lunch special prices are very reasonable. I will be back to try other dishes. If that passes, I go on to the next. Way to go, Golden House. You are truly golden!

Solid Chinese food here. Service is very friendly and fast. Small restaurant with inside seating. Will definitely return. I haven't found better Chinese in all of Tucson. Kung Pao Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Chicken Lo Mein, house fried rice, and egg rolls were what we ordered for our group of 3 and we had leftovers.

Love love this place. So many delicious options, and most of them are offered as lunch specials too. The lunch specials come with a choice of egg drop, hot and sour (my fav) or wonton soups; and white rice, brown rice, or fried rice. All dishes are prepared to order with tender-crisp vegetables, tender meats or meat alternatives, and huge flavors. Ming, the owner, is sweet as can be, and the servers are great, too. We often linger after eating, just chatting, and no one minds. About 1:30, after the lunch rush, front of the house and back of the house have their "family meal" and it is joyful to see what they are eating and watching them enjoy each other.

My friend and I went there on Christmas for lunch. The food and the service was excellent and it is very clean. Top notch!
