Golden Dragon

I still really like the staff and the fried rice, but I will say their pad thai should be taken off the menu. It isn't good. It tastes mostly of fish sauce and peanuts. It's just not correct and I was pretty disappointed when I tried it. I will still get my usuals from this place, because our options are so limited.

Very disappointed! Was there a year ago... And I really like the place. I would give it 4 stars last year. It went down hill big time. I really think that they have new owners. Entrance is different. The tables look new. The plates look new. They were NOT playing Chinese music like other Chinese restaurants do. They were playing English music. We sat down. Nobody came over. We waited, waited and waited. Eventually someone came over. We almost walked out. She asked if we were dining in or ordering out. We said we were dining in.... That is why we were sitting at a table. I asked for a kids menu. They said they don't have a kids menu. I told them that they had one last year. She told me that that recently change the menu. I asked if they had BBQ ribs. Lady said yes. We told her that it is not on the menu. She insisted it was on the menu. But she could not find it. They never give us chips when we first sit down. Husband got dinner plate. He got a Japanese Bento box for his Mongolian beef. I got the ribs. The ribs were super dry and tough. The one was so tough - I could not tear apart. I send that one back. I had to wave the waitress down for water. I drink the water up because the meat was so dry. She finally came 5 minutes later with water with little ice. Very disappointed with this restaurant. It was very different from last year. Would NOT recommend this place.

These tiny egg rolls are the best I have ever had! The rice is good, but could use a bit more umami or accent to bring out the flavors. Over all this was a very tasty meal, priced at 10.99 for a lunch special. Staff is very kind and attentive. 9 out of 10 rather than 4 out of 5

It's good to be able to sit down and eat inside the restaurant. I stopped in again today for a lunch special of chicken cashew and egg drop soup. Decor inside hadn't changed since before the pandemic.Service was quick and friendly. I got my soup ahead of my chicken. My dish had plenty of cashews. The big surprise was the price: my lunch special was only $7.34! A fast food combo meal is easily twice that.

Friendly, efficient and affordable that is how I describe Golden Dragon in Sierra Vista. Love their egg drop soup

Well they remodeled & increased prices considerably. $15 for broccoli beef imo is California pricing & as their food is decent for Sierra Vista it's not $15 good. Lunch specials used to be affordable & a nice treat to meet up with your friends during the week, after seeing the "boxes" instead of plates they are now using to serve dine in lunch I'll pass. I did order a to go lunch special & it looks like the lemon chicken had gone up $3. They might even be charging for takeout boxes now mixed with the tax amount. On the up side the inside looks nice, more roomy now that they did away with some of the seating in the middle. What big parties that used to eat in the middle are going to do now is unknown.

We had a pleasant late lunch. The Special platter came with sides we usually order separately.The food was hot and delicious. It was served in a container tray. This made the food easy to reach and enjoy.

They don't know how to pack food for pick up.$15.99 for shrimp and lobster sauce - the cup with a lid was set on top and it came open now the lobster sauce is almost gone from the container - but inside of the $14.99 kung p chicken. Does that look like a $60.00 dinner?!?!I'm so disappointed!!!

Our family loved every thing at this restaurant. We visited this place multiple times while in Sierra Vista. Our kids loved the Fried BBQ Bun (we remembered to take pictures after we started eating.) The service was great!
