Be prepared for an exquisite dining experience.I visited on a Friday at noon. There were several tables already enjoying their food when I walked in for the first time. I was immediately greeted by the friendly mother of the owner and opted to sit against the wall near the front. The dark grey decor immediately impressed me. Even the rest room was beautifully decorated. My server was very attentive throughout my meal.I ordered raspberry iced tea and chicken bulgogi. My server asked me if I wanted to grill it myself, but I opted for the kitchen to do that. I don't trust my own cooking skills. The various appetizers were served first. I really liked the cucumber kimchi. I was asked various times if I wanted refills on any of the dishes. I got a second portion of cucumber kimchi. The bulgogi came out steaming fast. There was a lot of food there for just one person. I took my time savoring the flavors and taking in the ambiance. The chicken was lean and very flavorful. The dining area looks big, but the restaurant only seats 48 people. There are two long tables that can seat parties of eight. There are four TVs, one in each corner of the room. I don't understand why anyone would need the urge to watch TV in a place like this, with the focus being on grilling and socializing, but each TV was on and muted. This place can get loud with just a few groups of people. Music in the background is modern rock, which may not fit in with the mood of this place. The things I noticed: The owners really care about the customers and enjoy talking to them. The tables are kept clean. As soon as customers leave, the tables are cleared and the grills sanitized. My server was always asking me what else I wanted. She brought me what things I did need right away. There is a four-prong outlet by every table that's against the wall, so I was able to keep my phone charged. While my meal was pricey -- the tea and bulgogi alone were around $29 before tax--it was an excellent dining experience,I will be back..

This place has become very busy. I suggest coming early or you could be waiting for a table. The food is always delicious. Tonight they brought some chap chae. Wow so delicious! This needs to be added to the menu. I love this place! The owners and employees are wonderful and friendly. It may be a little pricey but worth it in my opinion.

Gogi Korean BBQ is just what Sierra Vista was missing in this community. We have long waited for a real Korean BBQ restaurant and were beyond excited to hear about the newest one in town. Even with two little ones we were seated immediately on a busy Saturday night. The restaurant is extremely clean and modern looking. All interiors are completely brand new and even the bathrooms were pristine. Our server was fantastic and got us drinks and banchan immediately. I personally did not care for the eggplant one and was hoping they had cucumber kimchi (Oi Kimchi), but their cabbage kimchi and other banchan was absolutely delicious. The meat portions are generous and cam easily feed two. My husband and I ordered the pork belly and beef bulgogi and could barely move afterwards! We will definitely be back again for another date night soon.

This was the golden Phoenix but has been totally remodeled and now specialist in table top Korean BBQ. You get lots of meat in an order, enough for 2 easily. Lots Korean sides as an accompaniment. The drinks are large and are refilled. The staff are very friendly. A huge plus. The down sides are not a game stopper but you should be aware. There normally is a very long wait. Mainly because of lack of staffing. This is not unique to them but makes for 30-45 min wats on weekends. The ambiance is very much like the Korean BBQ I remember from Korea. Not much. Everything is comfortable by rather stark. But what nice is that the noise level is low enough you can easily talk. While you might think the prices are high, they are not. An order easily feeds 2. At other KOREAN BBQ an order is more and feeds one. Do this is a bargain.

Horrible experience it was almost comical. 75% of the menu was "out of stock", no noodles , no rice , barely any inventory on the alcohol selection and to top it all off they shut the gas off to "preserve" energy. I'd hate to blame the staff , but I'd like blame the owner or whoever works logistics at this place. Bottom line here is that this place sucks and the prices are not up to par with the food you get.

Was visiting the Sierra Vista area and tried the Gogi BBQ house. Loved the authentic recipes made from scratch. First time I've had a kimchi side salad and it was great, not too much heat, but the perfect heat! We had chicken and bulgogi beef and they were delicious, great sauces and unique side dishes. They were pretty busy on a Thursday but service was excellent! A fun experience!

I've been to this Gogi BBQ twice, and enjoyed it very much. Our most recent visit was even more extraordinary than the first. The service was outstanding. The woman who attended to our table was very patient while we initiated one of our party who had never been. She never let our drinks get low, and while she was very attentive, she never imposed herself or interrupted our conversation either. The food was phenomenal. Absolutely melted in our mouths. About a third of the way through our meal, the chef, Song, came to our table. She was lovely and answered every question we had. She even helped us with different side combinations and skillfully refilled my sake while teaching me to hold the dish properly. When it was time to leave, she hugged us all goodbye as though we were old friends. We had a wonderful time and look forward to visiting again. Highly recommended if you're looking for a unique, fun experience and a delicious meal in Sierra Vista.
