Girlfriends Closet

No trip to Tucson is complete without a trip to Girlfriends Closet. I've walked out with a wool skirt suit for $40, shoes for $20, designer bags and more. Today I bought two cocktail type dresses, a romantic floral faux wrap dress and a cute pair of nude Mary Jane heels for $50. Staff is always fun and accommodating. Did I mention they carry extended sizes through 4x, petites and more? That's super impressive!I've never consigned there, but I'm continually impressed with the quality of the clothes, designer options and incredible prices. I could buy full price but I always find something I like better at Girlfriends Closet.

Time to clean out my closet and found I had both work and casual outfits in need of a new home. Positive words on Yelp encouraged me to call Girlfriend's Closet. I spoke to Lisa, the owner, on the phone and we scheduled an appointment to bring in my things for consignment. There is a limit of ten items on hangers (yes, you get your hangers back, lol), and up to five accessories like shoes and purses.My appointment was yesterday and I am impressed with how appealing and attractive the store is. The clothes are quality, in good condition, and in a wide variety of styles and sizes. Lisa was very friendly and helpful, even collecting my things from my car. She explained the contract and the online presence is very cool. The seller can check the status of items at any time! Nice!Parking is super convenient, with spaces right in front of the store and a huge parking lot beyond that. The store is located in the Albertson's center on the NE corner of Harrison and Broadway. My initial experience is worth five stars, and if my things sell, I'll bump up my overall rating.

What a very nice shop. They were both so friendly. My wife will be back!!Prices were very reasonable and a large selection of clothing and shoes.

This review is based off on my experience with Consignment. 5 Location , simple and easy to get to with large parking lot5 Owner, very friendly and straightforward 5 cleanliness- for those that follow my reviews you know this is a huge deal for me. 5 chic, in style, super adorable clothing items, jewelry, shoes, etc..... We're in the process of moving, and decided it was finally time to go through my wardrobe and be honest of what I would like to keep and get rid. After selecting the items I wanted to remove, I debated on how to remove them.... donation seemed the most obvious, but these items I was wanting to get rid of are really nice, like almost brand new -nice. So, after going through a few options online, I ran into Girlfriends Closet and felt that was the most correct move for me.The other options, seemed "off" based on reviews and researching online - just wasn't the right fit for myself. Contacted the Owner and she set me up with a appointment to bring in some selected items to be reviewed and if approved she would go over a contract with me regarding the overall process. The contract seemed more than reasonable. I have read on some reviewers that were not pleased with waiting to be paid and that's just silly. If you wanted easy cash immediately then the other stores make more sense, but you probably won't even get a fraction of your clothing's worth and demanding a small & local business to pay up front makes no sense at all either..... waiting and seeing the process of something get sold makes tremendous sense. The percentage that she takes also makes sense ( she is doing the work, paying for location and having credit card accessible needs). The whole transaction probably took 5-10 mins. While we were sorting out the main selected items, I glanced around and noticed how very chic and unique the items she had available to be sold. If I was literally not in the process of moving -My gosh.... I would have gone totally nuts and probably cleaned out her store. Figured, brace and hold steady for now -and after my items are sold I can always use it back at the location. Great way to recycle clothing and update your wardrobe. #SaveTheEarth. [ each time you buy a cheap clothing item, that took so much resource, material and waste all- for you to toss away in a few months. ] better, to take the time and invest on quality items and keep them for the long haul and if you want to be relieved of them bring them here- so others can also enjoy the items you carefully selected. Few helpful hints.-Brand name is the best, unless you have something that is super super super cute.(Guess, Abercrombie & Fitch, etc) brands you think people want to buy.-I brought in my items washed, and ironed, but I didn't have them on hangers ( which will help allot). -Make sure you call for a appointment , unless it's 3 items or less than you can just go in. The whole establishment seemed very well organized, clean and lots of unique items. Love this whole idea and concept. This will definitely be my pit stop for wardrobe needs! * They also carry shoes, jewelry and purses.

January is a great time to clean out closets and add quality items at good prices to a wardrobe. I did just that by bringing in 10 clean, hardly worn items on hangers to consign. The owner has arranged the quality merchandise and the process very professionally. She also supports veterans by offering a discount to those who have served. How could you NOT support such a wonderful enterprise that keeps Tucson ladies well dressed and closets tidy? Improve yourself at this boutique next to Albertson's at Broadway and Harrison. The minor road construction is easy to maneuver; it is worth the drive to repurpose your clothes and refresh your style. "Only one shopping day left until tomorrow". -Anonymous

Great, local consignment store! The store is very organized with friendly and helpful staff. Selection of items is vast (dresses, tops, pants, jewelry, shoes, purses.. lots of name brands) and prices are affordable. You are rewarded with money off your next purchase at checkout depending on the amount spent, too. I look forward to coming back!

The employees were super sweet in Girlfriend's Closet. Everything is super trendy and affordable. I tried on a few things and the dressing rooms were spacious and clean. Bought and item and checkout was smooth. I will be returning! Second-hand is the best thing you can do for this lovely environment we're destroying!! Please shop here, you won't regret it!

My experience with Girlfirends Closet have been great. I have taken in clothes (by appointment) for Ivonne to look over to see what she feels will sale. She is very picky - which is good. That way customers know that the quality is good and that things aren't old and dated. I wait until the amount in my credit folder has added up and then I call and let her know I would like a check. She always has it ready for me.I'm also a customer of the shop. The selection in the shop is grouped by size or subject which makes shopping easier. The shop is clean and attractive and all the ladies that work there are very nice and helpful.I will happily continue to work with and shop at Girlfriends closet.You need to check it out.
