My third time trying Ginza, I'd give it a full 5 stars except I can't get past the spicy tuna consistency. It's more of a "Mousse" and I prefer the tuna in a small dice, it's a textural thing again my preference for my favorite sushi ever. I came in on Valentine's evening alone, it was very busy, but they found a seat for me no problem.Julia was a great server, funny and answered all my questions knowledgeably.I decided to try a bit of everything...I started with the spicy octopus Sushi (2 pcs) it was very flavorful and just the right amount of spice. I also tried the barbecue pork bun appitzer (2 pcs), they were steamed, large and very tasty not stuffed as full as the ones I get in Chinatown, but they're very good. Moving onto the squid salad, another favorite. I had it on my first visit and I have to say they've improved on it, the cut of the cucumber is a fine slice and they've added different greens. Who knew a few minor tweaks would elevate this dish? The Unagi (eel) was ok, in the past I've had it cold. This was warm, maybe just me but cold is better. Last but not least I got Orange Chicken to go. It wasn't too spicy and the portion was generous, it was served with only 5 pieces of broccoli and white rice, a great dish to share. The restaurant was busy as mentioned, tables filled with groups, couples and even a few of us "lonely diners." Maybe different lightning would make for a more intimate experience but overall it was an enjoyable.I'll be back, thank you.

My Yelp Bestie Chelsey H. and I dined here in January 2025. We both felt nauseous afterwards and were not very impressed with most of their food. I typically stick to a vegetarian diet, but tried a roll with salmon. Sadly, the next day I was very ill and ultimately went to the emergency room. I cannot say for certain that the food poisoning was from dining here, but I'll be very reluctant to return as the food was pretty average. The service was very friendly and there was a good amount of seating. The place had potential, but after being poorly after dining there I'm not sure I would return.

I have waiting before making a review, to be sure they were consistently great. Since opening I have been approximately 6 times. Their sushi is really, really great! And their rolls are different and fun, and great variety. It is nice inside, comfortable feel. They have a great back patio area that looks super nice and fun. I have to review the bathroom because its the worst when restaurants don't keep them clean and nice looking. This restaurant seems to always keep theirs really nice and I appreciate it.

We were so hopeful for one of the few restaurants in Gold Canyon. We were also very skeptical that a sushi restaurant could make it in our small town. In my opinion, it won't. Slow and sputtering service. Seemingly off time from a normal sushi restaurant. Appetizers like edamame - which are always a no brainer to come out first are lost in the mix and show up middle of meal. Other items like fried oysters and soft shell crab are well short of what you would normally expect for the price. Completely disappointing. Sushi - not great sushi rollers and seeming confusion over sushi orders make it all unpleasant and confusing. In the end - I long for a beer and burger in a small town. Do not recommend.

Love the orange chicken with broccoli, it's always so good. The fried rice is infinitely better than the white rice (naturally) but the best was the Las Vegas and Caterpillar rolls we had! We ordered online and it was quick & easy picking up our order.

I'm seeing bad reviews, but we went Sat afternoon and they had happy hour which was nice. I got a sangria which was very good. We ordered 3 rolls and was very happy with them. Bruce our server and bartender was wonderful. I hope people give them another chance. Only thing I woukd suggest is they fix up the outside patio. We sat in the bar area at a window and the view was the patio which was a storage area.

4 minutes agoNewService was absolutely trash. There was an older woman greeting and she had long gray hair. She looked at us when we came in, didn't say anything and then when we asked if we should sit somewhere she aggressively pointed at the wait to be seated sign. Unbelievable behavior. As she seated us she was acting like doing her job was a huge inconvenience, slapped the table for some reason and like abrasively scoffed at us when we asked about happy hour. I can't believe this woman is employed. We sat for 15-20 min and no one came to take our drink orders or even introduce themselves so we ended up just leaving. On the way out another waitress took my complaint and asked for my number and promised that the owner would call me which was so unnecessary but she insisted. I never got a call so I'm not sure why she would insist on it that way.The restaurant itself feels like a cafeteria and the greeter woman completely destroyed our experience.Unimpressed is an understatement, do better.

I really wanted to like this place--seriously. Wahoo's, which used to be on this site, was never the best, but at least they could always be relied upon for a plate of fried chicken and potatoes. I'm not sure who or what to rely on here. The food was fair to mediocre. I can tell--the Teriyaki sauce was from a can, and really didn't taste all that good. Another thing I can tell--that the chicken in my chicken Teriyaki plate was from a reconstituted chicken loaf rather than a real chicken breast--a real breast slice doesn't have that many holes, and the texture was weird. Really? Did you think the grill marks and the sauce would hide it? The gyoza sucked. The fried rice was alright--better than Great Wall, although that's not a high bar to surpass. . . As for the service, they just didn't have it down. Our waitress was really trying, but there's apparently multiple kitchens, and they didn't coordinate well. My wife never did get her bento box AFTER TWO HOURS and it took much, much too long for everyone at our table (four in all) to get the food they ordered. It came out a plate or bowl or two at a time, every 20 minutes or so.I'm all for cutting a restaurant some slack when they first open, but only so many excuses can be made. I was thinking at first that I would come back to the joint some other time when they have their routines a little more set and procedures tighter. Don't think so now after trying the food. I gave them the most patience that I could, and neither me nor my wife can think of any compelling reason to return.

I cannot say enough about this restaurant bc they made sure everything was perfect for my birthday party order to go! Maggie even messaged me that morning to confirm what sushi & sashimi I prefer before making the order fresh to go! Her staff was also very friendly asking if we needed water or anything while we wait for our pick-up order which was very nice of them. All I can say is my family was raving about how fresh the sushi was and the taste was out of this world especially the octopus was on point which many sushi chef's aren't but Maggie the sushi chef/owner make it taste so good like butter! All the sushi/sashimi cuts were excellent and I honestly felt I was in Scottsdale but no more bc we have our new favorite sushi place right here in gold canyon now The cucumber salad is also a must try bc it was so light and crisp which made it so refreshing. The rolls were also on point & delicious. Check out pics to see what I ordered it was all yummy. Thank you Maggie for making my birthday extra special!
