So we drive to the border and while I have my passport, some of the members in my group do not have it with them. We sit down and have some drinks and the atmosphere is really cool. I can tell there is something getting ready to start and it turns out to be a mixed group pool competition. Met a really nice guy at the bar and he tells me he and his wife go across the border with DL only, no passport so we do the same. It was OK'd by Border Patrol. But while we are here, i order my usual Jameson on the rocks and Jameson and ginger ale for the wife. Vanessa the bartender brings out her own home made ginger in honey which she added to soda water in place of ginger ale and man was it good. No it was GREAT! While this seems to be a locals bar, they are all very nice and accepting of new people coming in.

It's been a couple of years but I hope Crazy JJ is still hanging out here talking about border jumping and UFO's. Just stop if you are in the area

What a piece of history. My Mother at 90 remembers this place as a kid. If you like a good drink and some history stop on by.Remember the "Gay 90's is about a a period of time 1890s"

A must stop. Gotta see it to believe it. The classic dive bar. Don't make a wrong turn or you will be in Mexico.

I've only been twice but now that I have a place in Warren, this is where we will go all the time with friends! When I first saw it I got excited about the prospect of having a big party one day in their social hall in back!

First of all, despite what Yelp says, this is not a gay bar. It is a good historic dive a few feet from the border. It's been here since 1931. Folks are friendly. There are pool tables. Karaoke on the weekend. A nice spot.

This bar opened in an era when "gay" referred to the state of gaiety, not a sexual preference. I ordered a margarita (rare for me), and I was impressed that the bartender mixed the drink herself (tequila, sweet and sour, lime, agave, and salted rim) instead of using pre-mix. One thing I loved about my first visit: the owner keeps preserved black and white photos of the bar, the town, and people of Naco from the turn of the 19th - 20th century! Great margaritas, great conversation, great learning experience. This is an excellent stop if you're out on the bike in the Douglas, Bisbee, Sierra Vista area - the ride there is scenic.

A truly authentic local's bar in the most unusual of places: directly kitty-corner to the Naco port of entry. If you're passing through the region, the staff are lovely and will tell you where all the best sonora dogs are to be found. Also, make sure to ask them about the photo of a drunk Nancy Reagan.
