We never Ellis have found this place without a friend's recommendation. They do a lot of catering. The small lunch menu was full of delicious and unique choices. We had a lovely fresh watermelon and feta salad, delicately spiced and the best bacon burger I've had in ages. Aioli with capers, grilled onions on a brioche. Yummy jicama slaw with carrots, arugula and s fresh dill. If I lived in Tucson I would use them to cater my events.

I recently discovered Gallery of Food thanks to their participation in the Chinese Chorizo Festival, and now I can't wait to return! This small bodega has the most wonderful assortment of local goods, a great dine-in menu, and spectacular staff members who make you feel right at home.First off, the food is fantastic. Their kolache special was so beautifully baked. Plus, both the pickled veggies and salad -- with cheese for the meat dish and jicama for the vegan dish -- went perfectly with the meal. I highly recommend getting some pecan bites, which had a unique hint of citrus to balance the sweetness, or mesquite flour brownies. The staff is amazing. The person who rang us up brought over some complimentary iced tea (crafted with leaves from Seven Cups next door) and a popcorn sample. The sweet owner also took the time to greet us and chat. Best hospitality ever.I ended up leaving with some bodega goods made with truly local ingredients, like red supai corn and Seville oranges. Such a great business to support!!

I went to a Galentines event where the food was catered from here. I had heard of Gallery of Food but didn't know anything about it. Everything was a 10/10. There were meatballs, a butternut squash tart, spinach empanadas, caprese skewers, and a dessert charcuterie board with tons of homemade treats. I was blown away at how delicious everything was. The owner and chef/baker were incredibly nice and did a nice presentation on how to put together the dessert board. I will definitely check out their location on Ft. Lowell.

Review update: This review is for the Bodega and their food menu. I've reviewed them previously (also 5-stars) for catering orders. I can't believe it took me so long to actually go the Bodega and check it out. What a gem! The shop is packed with goodies, all either made onsite or from other local bakers and purveyors. You'll find an array of baked goods, bread, confections, locally made chocolates, cookies, biscotti and much more. There is also a freezer packed with take home meals that range from meatloaf to soup and even pies and danishes. Additionally, there is a small selection of books, jewelry, and other craft goods. The Bodega has a couple small tables if you wish to enjoy your meal there, but the business is largely set-up for takeout. Their food menu is fantastic. They have various salads, a burger torta, soups, and more. We ordered the ahi tuna which was served on a bed of warm kale with pears and ginger, and a chili sauce. It was so flavorful! We also ordered the salad duo which was served with a three bean salad and a fennel salad. I love salads and these were perfection! Super fresh, crunchy and flavorful. We also ordered the St. Patrick's Day corned beef meal with soda bread. It was divine! Everyone in our family raved about it. It came with easy warming instructions as well. You can taste the love in the food here. Gallery of Food is a true gem!

I have been going to Gallery of Foods on and off for over 25 years. The menu has changed, the location has changed, the food quality definitely has not: you will find some of the best food anywhere in Tucson. Kristine and her crew go all out to provide tasty and filling fare, the ingredients of which are mostly locally sourced. The three of us had the Green Curry Veggie Empanada, the Poblano Relleno, and the Bodega "veggie" Burger (the burger itself handmade at the shop). All of this was followed up by an assortment of delicious house made cookies: Mexican Wedding, Rosemary Pinenut, Ricciareli, and Walnut Cardamom. A couple of us also enjoyed their Jamaica (Hibiscus) tea, which was mildly sweet full of flavor, and incredibly refreshing on this hot spring day. After the meal, we perused the store in the front. They have an assortment of their own foods, many refrigerated so you can take them home to cook, and local chocolates and other goodies that can't really be found elsewhere. Great food, great staff, wonderful experience. I have no doubt that I will continue to come by Gallery of Foods well into the future, certainly every time I come to Tucson.

I join the 5-Star review club. Just discovered this jewel on Ft. Lowell near Tucson Blvd. The food is at least 5-Stars, and the service is even better! A warm friendly, attentive staff can often make up for a few "penalty points" from the menu (Olympics season). But in this case - there is nothing to make up for! Oh yes - I am gluten intolerant. They have quite a few GF dishes and will let you know if they can prepare anything else GF for you. We shared the Ginger Plum ribs with the Watermelon and Cucumber salad, and still brought some home!! Also picked up GF Mesquite Brownie as a gift, and GF Brazilian Cheese bread, GF Biscotti and GF Ricciarelli cookies for house guests (and me!) Lots of Bodega items including hot sauces, breads, spice, even Gelato! This is on our regular date list now! I agree 100% with the review from Michelle M.

The food is high quality and delicious. They have many offerings from local artisans and it's definitely the type of business we all need to be supporting more. One of my clients ordered 3 salads that they made to serve 8 people. They were plated beautifully and the corn muffins were so cool with the corn husk wrapped around. How creative!

I love to treat myself. Maybe some biscotti, perhaps some nice cheese, maybe some delicious curd. You get the idea. This isn't a place for normal grocery shopping; it's a place to visit for sheer pleasure. Personally, I stop in at least once a month. You really deserve a treat too.

Oh my goodness! I've been out of town and have not visited this bodega for a few monthsl I came home with a freezer bag full of delightful meals. Just finished the smoked brisket stew. It was outstanding. Can't wait to dive into the meatloaf, Brazilian cheese bread, and steak soup! Service was great, very personable.
