Im so glad we now know about this place now! My toddler and his friends loved it! Everywhere you look there are extensive train tracks inside and out and buttons for kids to push to make the trains move! There's also a kids train track play area, a train that you can ride around the property and a huge train you can go inside and tour! They have a small store area where they sell train merchandise and collectibles. They are only open Sundays from 1-4, September-May! It's a non profit and mostly run by volunteers. The admission is $5 per person or $10 for your family which is a great deal! We will definitely be back!

We've been to model train museums across the country and this is hands down our favorite! The volunteers are truly passionate about their toy trains and share that passion with every visitor! There are buttons to press, trains to follow and history to be learned! Most of the trains running the tracks have a story to tell, from where they came from to who ran them first. Outside you'll find a small train that will take you through a little western town and chug around the track a couple times making it a complete day for kiddos of all ages. You're also able to operate the larger model trains outside which was my personal favorite! Very highly recommend a visit to this museum whether you are a train enthusiast or not, you'll more than likely leave as one if you're not already!! We visited the museum in November 2023.

Never met a museum we didn't like and the Gadsen Train Museum fits the bill. Lots of permanent displays, people to talk to, buttons for kids to push. A toddlers dream come true. Many of the trains were similar to my collection as a kid, that was cool. Hours are minimal so call ahead to make sure they are open. Admission is $10 per family and donations are welcome. Staffed by volunteers make this an even more special place.

Great place to visit for the young & old, this is what I dreamed up as a kid when I received my first train. I wish I had a place like this to visit growing up, I would have drove my parents nuts & spent every dollar I made -LOLMy Mother-in-Law & wife also enjoyed walking around looking at all the cool displays, spotting different things and attention to detail. They have all the Scales represented and a lot of history on display. A small gift shop is available along with outdoor displays (not all open), but the actual Caboose was and it beautifully restored to show what it looked like when it was still in use.The cost of admission $10 for the family was worth it !!!

This museum is a TREASURE! It is only open a few days per month. Recently it was every other Sunday for a few hours. There is a building full of scale model trains and the miniature settings are amazing as well. There is a gift shop area with lots of stuff for kids, and collectors. They have special events for different seasons. Outdoor displays include a ride on train, a larger garden model set and a full size caboose to walk through. Located in an industrial area near Prince and I-10 it is a TUCSON HIDDEN Treasure. Please visit and support this museum.

My kids and I visited the Gadsden Pacific Division Toy Train museum and had an absolute blast! This place is a charitable not for profit organization and is ran by volunteers who are train and railroad enthusiasts, and I appreciate the hard work they put into this place! Whether you are a train aficionado or not, you are bound to find something interesting here and have a good time. My kids were fascinated with all of the little town set-ups and the trains chugging by above you and all over the museum, and I loved all the vintage signs and miniature buildings in the towns as well. My kids had a blast with the interactive buttons that do all sorts of cool stuff. This place is indoors as well as outdoors along with a "train" ride a couple of times around the property on a tiny train with benches on the train cars. I found out they are open seasonally from September through May and only open on Sundays. I recommend you take the time to visit this gem.

I was transported back to my childhood! This is a wonderful place, with friendly, informative people. And the layouts! Six different layouts, each a different scale: Z, N, HO, S, O, and Standard gauge. I was more focused on the details of the layouts, than the trains themselves. It was a well-spent afternoon. All staffed by volunteers, it also has a gift shop, where you can indulge your whims.

This place was super neat to take my son to who loves trains so much. What little boy doesn't, Right? The ride on train was out of order today when we went which was upsetting but the trains inside were great and kind of made up for it. They provide stools for kids to be able to see over the taller tables even though even if my son was to use one he still wouldn't be able to see so he sat on his dad's shoulders. The detail to things was great and being able to push buttons to interact with things was a plus & they have a toy Thomas train which the kids can control which was great. The engineers seemed a little cranky on the day we were there... The shirts at the gift shop are to cute and I'll have to go back to get one! The admission is free but they except donations of course :) they are having a train show next month at the expo center and I will definitely be there. All in all this place ia great and a good time passer when there isnt much else to do. I will be back in the future for sure.

Great for a free day out and for kids who can walk and stand on their own to see the train displays. A little cramped, so I would not use it as a social mom outing with the kids and not stroller friendly. I would probably wait until my child is older so they can appreciate the experience more and ride the little train they have going around the property.Bottom line: it's FREE!
