Furniture In the Raw

We had to wait for delivery, but it was well worth it to get the wood and finish we wanted. I saw similar nightstands in another furniture store, real, solid wood, BUT twice the price. Super great value and good quality! Check 'em out.

I would highly recommend Furniture In the Raw for the quality of workmanship, their willingness to customize to your standards with no hesitation, and the reasonable price quotes for pieces far above the factory standards you find typically in furniture outlets. The finished items are substantially made, not flimsy particle board. Check them out.

I liked this place. The staff were friendly and the selection was ample. If you are ever in need of a unique piece of furniture or even furniture you want customized to your taste, I highly suggest you check this place out.

I ordered a side table from them on Saturday December 1st. The table was from stock, but I was paying for them to stain the table. They promised the table would be ready in one week (at the latest). I called on Saturday December 8th and was told the table would be ready Wednesday or Thursday (December 12th or 13th). The guy was not at all apologetic. I called back on Thursday December 13th and was told by the same guy Tuesday or Wednesday of the following week (December 18th or 19th). Again not at all apologetic. When I challenged him on it he was extremely rude and had a "deal with it" attitude. He said their painter hasn't shown up. I asked him if the following Tuesday or Wednesday was a guarantee or would I be put off again. He said it wasn't a guarantee. While I want the table, if it isn't ready on the 19th, I'll tell them what they can do with the table.

I purchased 3 bookshelves several years ago and I still love them and they look fantastic. They are willing to do custom work and they are very friendly. Definitely much much better quality and style than you could pick up at any of the furniture stores, and often much more reasonably priced.

My wife and I wanted to purchase a Murphy bed and looked at all the stores in Tucson that either sold or made them. There were several very good options and all provided diagrams and estimates. Furniture in the Raw was the last store we looked at and they had one Murphy Bed on display. The store had lots of "raw" furniture on display and the display color examples were older. It was obvious they've been in business a long time and the store is not glamorous. But, the quality of the bed was substantial and the price was thousands, yes 1000's, less than anyone else. We took the chance and the bed was delivered on time and we are thrilled with it. It looks great, very sturdy, the installation was easy and we couldn't be happier. We wanted special bookcases with display and lights and the end result was outstanding.We also had a desk with pull out for printer and file cabinet on other side. I would highly recommend Furniture In the Raw for the quality of workmanship.Definitely better to have someone design what you want and get the best quality to last for a long time.

I ordered a custom dining table from Furniture-in-the-Raw awhile back but I didn't notice the table top was merely plywood sanded and stained. I only noticed it when over time the appearance and texture changed for the worse. I recently contacted Furniture-in-the-Raw regarding my dissatisfaction with the very poor quality especially given the price I paid but I received no response. I would not recommend this company or any of its subsidiaries.

DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!Multiple pieces of furniture I had ordered and paid for were missing upon delivery. Incorrect finish was applied to the pieces that I did receive. When my wife called the store to correct the problem, they acted as if they had no obligation to bring the missing pieces or correct the furniture color. I was then told that the missing pieces would be delivered within the next hour. This did not happen either. 3 days later I received my missing pieces. I was told by the owner, "The delivery men get tired and forgetful from the heat....". The owner was insulting and rude. Hardly what i expected from a local business.GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!!!!HORRIBLE ORGANIZATION WITH HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

After looking for a hutch for about half a year, my wife and I could not find exactly what we wanted. We had a few options that were close, but nothing exact. We took the closest example we had to Furniture in the Raw, and adjusted a few dimensions. Talked through all of our different wood and stain options and ordered a solid hardwood hutch for the same price as the competitors would have sold us a veneer finished hutch. When it arrived we were blown away. It is absolutely gorgeous, and exactly what we were looking for. Delivery guys were great, and set it up where we wanted in the living room.They quoted us 5 weeks to build and stain, and I think it was done in around 5.5-6 weeks. For custom work to fit your needs, these guys are absolutely top notch. Highly recommended.
