Having contacted this business via their website on a Sunday evening, the last thing I expected was a reply email when I woke on Monday, but there it was. There were drop-off locations closer to my home than their office, but I was told I could have an estimate right away if I brought my ottoman to the office. Well, I arrive but didn't receive an estimate. Instead, Chris Berry, the owner, fixed by furniture and declined payment. You don't get better than that. Now, I know if it were a bigger job he would expect payment, but I also know he would charge fairly and do the work well, and that means this is an absolute gem of a shop.

We had two recliners, both Ethan Allen. The first, probably about 20 years old, needed fixed and the second needed to be reupholstered. The time and effort that Sarah put into this project was inspiring. She was so persistent with manufacturers in pursuit of the mechanics of the reclining mechanism, now out of production. She kept us informed all along the process, and was able to locate one part still in existence. We also had her touch up and fix some of the leather that had been scratched. She brought it back to its lovely brown leather. And it reclines! The second recliner, 50 years old, had been beaten up by age, although it worked well. We thought of repairing the piece as is, but chose to reupholster it entirely, as close to the original color and material. Also, we asked that she touch up the pine arms and wings, and add back the necessary details that had been lost. What a magnificent job Sarah and her team did! The photos don't fully describe the experience of having it back to looking like a new recliner. Worth the relatively modest price, since they don't make recliners like this anymore. Highly recommend these folks, especially Sarah J. Although I don't have "before" photos, both of these are "after" the restoration.

I handed over my beloved 35 year old leather couch and loveseat cushions to the Furniture Doctor for re-stuffing. The cushions looked like they were beyond hope they were so flattened and wrinkled. When finished, my cushions looked brand new. The price was right! The service was excellent! Sarah is knowledgeable, professional, truly cares about restoring furniture, and leads a great staff. I'm so thankful to have my beautiful sofa and love seat looking like it did when I purchased it. (Note: the pictures were taken in different daytime lighting. They really are of the same furniture. No color change occurred). Thank you Sarah and FURNITURE DOCTOR! I highly recommend this company!

I had an older chair I wanted recovered in my fabric. These folks were able to accomplish this- I was very happy with the quality of the work and the service. They made it very easy! Cost was reasonable for the high quality of work performed.
