Fresco Pizzeria

Stopped in for a weeknight dinner- place was quiet and a few groups were dining. I had a gluten free pizza and glass of red blend, while my dining companion had a pepperoni Stromboli and lager. It's a casual place where you order at the counter and seat yourselves. Food didn't take too long to arrive, and it was piping hot and gorgeous. Very flavorful- took half my pizza home for tomorrow and I'm looking forward to those leftovers.

A great menu and quality ingredients can be found at Fresco, but the execution could be better. What I liked: A wide variety of doughy goodness to choose from. If you don't want a regular pizza, you can get a Detroit style pie, or even a stromboli! The topping selection is top-notch as well--I opted to get one with red sauce, prosciutto, and arugula, and a tasty caesar salad on the side. What I didn't like: Although the flavors were phenomenal, I just didn't think it was made too well. The crust was way, way too thick at the edges, and the pizza retained too much moisture, so the bottom of every slice was kinda wet. It wasn't everything I'd hoped for, but I do want to try this place again because I think there's some real potential here!

The chicken marsala can be really good... when it's made correctly. I've ordered it for takeout many times and there's about a 50/50 chance of the mushrooms being left out of the dish. Last night's order was missing the mushrooms and the marsala sauce was way different from how it usually is. The sauce was really light and just didn't have that delicious marsala flavor. Feels like a ripoff for $22.For the chicken, it seems like they use bromelain or some other meat tenderizer on it. It's good when the food is fresh, but things start to get weird if you have leftovers.

The calzone was great! Would suggest that one calzone is just enough for one person... I mean, two can enjoy it, but you'll go through one by yourself easily.

Popped in on 1/31/24 to grab one of their meatball subs with a friend (after boosting their expectations for it) and was treated to disappointing surprise. While Fresco's prices have inched up over the past year (twice I think) that is largely to be expected during an 8+ percent inflation rate. But the disappointment was multi-fold. The sub roll shrank by 2 inches (not sure how they can call it a footlong anymore). The bread was also less chewy and less crunchy, despite being baked (a necessity for any real meatball sub). And... because the roll shrank there was only room for 5! meatballs (see pic). For years we've enjoyed a true footlong with six large meatballs but now it's not even 10" and $15. Ugh... et tu Fresco?? The sauce/cheese/seasonings are all still great. Bring back "the original" Matt!

As a native New Yorker and Brooklynite, that has easily eaten his weight in pizza, Fresco Pizzaria served up The Finest Ive ever had. The crust had a thin crisp shell, and an almost impossibly weightless body that every pizza maker strives for. We ordered toppings of anchovie, red onion and mushrooms. They're using spoon sized cubes of portobello to retain the natural flavor and cooked to perfection. Service was 2nd to none. Perfect ambience. If I could give this place six stars I would.Bon apetit!

I've been to Fresco a couple of times before and the pizza was ok. Some friends wanted to eat there tonight and the pizza was fantastic. I ordered the white pizza and the toppings were artichoke, roasted garlic , prosciutto and lots of cheese. The crust was crisp and soft with plenty of toppings. Service was great and they checked on us several times. It was busy for Sunday night.It was so good I went back the next day and ordered to sane pizza to go.

Excellent service, salad and pizza! We had great service, a chill environment, and sundried tomatoe vinagret which I will never forget! Better than Mod, Mama's, we will return.

Dang, this is good pizza. These folks always come through with delicious pies, and they deliver to most of the city. Awesome beer selection and great atmosphere for dine in. Try the Detroit Style if you're into that kinda thing!

We consistently have had good meals at this restaurant. Tonight was no exception. The pizza toppings are always generous, fresh, and not overcooked so you can actually taste each ingredient. We shared a salad that is also generous in size with crispy ingredients and a yummy house dressing. Although we usually do takeout, I have dined in and service is always efficient and friendly. The interior is clean and bright and comfortable. My daughter loves several of their pasta dishes. Fresco is on our favorites list of frequently visited restaurants. There's enough variety to visit multiple times.
