Tucson's Best Breakfast Spot - Frank's RestaurantIf you're searching for the best breakfast in Tucson, look no further than Frank's Restaurant. This place is hands down one of the city's best-kept secrets, but if word ever got out, there'd be a line wrapped around the block every morning!Frank's is the kind of classic, no-frills diner that does breakfast right. It's everything you love about a greasy spoon--hearty, satisfying, and packed with flavor--without leaving you feeling sluggish for the rest of the day.I loved it so much, I had to go twice while I was in town! * First visit: I had the chorizo and eggs with beans, home fries, and fresh tortillas. The chorizo was perfectly seasoned, the eggs were cooked just right, and those tortillas? So fresh and soft, they practically melted in my mouth. * Second visit: I tried the chicken fried steak, and let me tell you--it was even better than I expected. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and covered in a rich, flavorful gravy. And I have to mention their sourdough toast--I don't know what they do to it, but it's unbelievably light, airy, and buttered to perfection. And let's talk about the blueberry pancake. I ordered one both times because it was that good. What sets it apart is that it's absolutely loaded with blueberries--not the usual mushy, smeared kind that just give you flavor, but whole, juicy blueberries that burst in your mouth with every bite. It adds a whole new level of fun and freshness to the pancake, making it easily one of the best I've ever had.The best part? No waiting around--just seat yourself and get ready for an unforgettable breakfast. The portions are generous, the service is friendly, and every bite is pure comfort food heaven. If you love a great breakfast, run--don't walk--to Frank's. This place is the real deal! The prices are up anyone's alley!

I absolutely love going to simple places like this. It's so hard to find a simple, classic, family run (or appears to be family run) breakfast places nowadays because the trend seems to be the bougie brunch. I like their sign up front that says "elegant dining elsewhere." Very small place. I think the max occupancy is 48. We were able to find seating at the bar top, which is what I prefer. Service was fast and friendly. We ordered the chorizo plate and a ham and cheese omelette, both with hash browns. The chorizo itself tasted phenomenal and so authentic. It tastes great by itself, but even better with one of their hot sauces. Hash browns tasted perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. One of the best breakfast restaurants I've ever gone to.

This is my absolute favorite breakfast spot in Tucson! If you like breakfast food and never ending coffee this is THE place for you. It's such a local gem that iv been going to for 15 years. If you love CHICKEN FRIED STEAK...look no further you have found your new favorite place. On Wednesdays they have their chicken fried steak special for only $9! Chicken fried steak, two eggs, hash browns/ home fries and a fresh hot biscuit or toast. The whole staff are so nice and friendly, I highly recommend this place. They will even give you coffee to go (bonus!).

The service was very friendly & fast, always there to refill our drinks. The food was very good, specially for how busy it was around 10am. The only problem that we had was trying to keep the flies away from our plates.

Because I travel so much. I'm always on the look for a really good breakfast venue, this fit that description. It's a Tucson classic. The food was well prepared hot and delicious. I always like to support a local venue and this is a locally owned family business i think it's been around over for over 40 years . I have been many times, the service was fast and efficient and the food came along quickly. Staff really cared and wanted you to be happy. Even though a lot of people know each other they went out of their way to make sure you felt welcome. They serve breakfast and brunch. I came for breakfast, . One time I had the blueberry pancakes. The other times I had a classical breakfast: Bacon eggs, hash browns and biscuits. Shared a cinnamon role which was fantastic, they were accommodating to my requests for crisp hash browns and bacon. I also have a problem with beans and they were willing to sub them out and add meat in a breakfast burritos. It's a great fun place but it does get crowded which speaks to its food but they do a good job of trying to serve people the best way they can. I will be back this winter to enjoy the food and wonderful staff.

What an experience! Tight space but they move efficiently with little to no waiting. All of our food was clean and cooked well. Both my husband and I felt that the flavors, however, were very bland with no seasoning. Add a bunch of salt and pepper and you're good. Best item was the French toast, with a great chew and flavor.

My partner recommended eating here because he visited many times, and claimed it to have the "Best Breakfast in Tuscon." Those are some pretty strong words, so I couldn't refuse the to experience this great place myself.Honestly, it was enjoyable to from start to finish. But speaking as a critic, I would warn potential guests that this place is so popular that it was fully packed by 10 in the morning on a Friday in March. That means even if you schedule a visit on a day where you are positive it won't be crowded, more than likely you'll be wrong. My partner & I waited five minutes to be seated in a tight dining area with your chairs close to the other guests. The kitchen area is clearly visible when you enter, and you can hear the searing of the food. We were seated in the very back and it was still loud. The rowdy noises coupled with the close proximity to customers could make a guest overstimulated and uncomfortable. Customer service is at my top priority when I rate though, so this place still gets high remarks for how the staff treated us. They kept a cool head through the chaos, and gave us exactly the order we wanted. With so many people, I feared it wouldn't come out right. But they served what I ordered, which was scrambled eggs & bacon with a side of hash browns and white, buttered toast (Tip: Try the grape jelly with the toast. It's delicious!). Everything was perfectly done, and I ate it all right up. I can see why my partner named it the best food in town. It was fantastic, but with such a heavy crowd, I hope they're able to expand their business so it won't feel so claustrophobic. Great work overall, and I'll order from here again!
