There is no ambiance, so go for the cheesesteaks not the vibe; although it is a good alternative on Eagles game days rather than driving to the Rock Bar in Scottsdale to be with other Philly fans. I usually get a chicken cheesesteak, so while I can not speak to the regular steaks, this is the most authentic sandwich outside of the Philadelphia area. Chewy roll, provolone, and fried onions. Mmmmmmm. Basic service without the South Philly 'tude is all I need; I'm lucky this location is close to home

My order was simple, provolone and mushrooms. Judging from the other reviews, I think I showed up on an off day or moment. My cheesesteak was made pretty quickly and I was excited to try it, but the meat, although fresh was bland and a little dry. The cheese seemed to only be at the bottom half of the bread. The bread was also fresh/soft, and thankfully not chewy. I love a good cheesesteak, so I'll eventually go back for a second try and hope for the best.

I've not been to Philly. I'm not a fan of the Eagles. I kinda like the original Rocky movie. Do I love Frankie's South Philly Cheesesteaks? Why, yes I do.We were frequent visitors to the old Campbell location and were sad when they left. The Ina location isn't the most convenient for us but we still make the trip for those delicious cheesesteaks.The meat is always tender and delicious, the roll is soft and yummy, the hot and sweet peppers just spicy enough to give the sandwich a kick and that Cheez Whiz....OH THAT CHEEZ WHIZ. It totally makes the sandwich and I wouldn't want it any other way. We always order the fries with Whiz as well and end up fighting over the last bit of Whiz, LOL.I like that there is a full bar at the Ina location and they have some tasty brews on tap. Service is always pleasant and helpful. It's time for lunch where I sit and I'll be dreaming of a cheesesteak with Whiz and hot/sweet peppers while I sit here at my desk eating my salad. NOT the same.

This location has more parking and a brighter, bigger dining space. You order at the counter to the left and your order is brought out to you. There is a bar area to the right. We ordered the 9" Cheesesteak with extra wiz and hot peppers. It was good with lots of peppers. Service was quick and friendly. We miss the Campbell Ave location but this location is just as good.

Why is this "the best" in town? I don't get it. I wanted it to be. My sandwich was SO SALTY I could barely eat it all. I got the cheesesteak with whiz, and it was not good. That said, the onion rings were good. Their oil seems fresh which made the onion rings taste really good. Service was at the counter and it was great. The vibe inside is that of a big room with tables. Not a lot that I recall on the walls etc. I just don't get the salt thing. I will try again when I am in the mood for a cheesesteak, but from what I had it was just meh.

Went to Frankies on 06/19/24 for a South Philly with provolone yesterday. For those who don't know, a South Philly cheesesteak comes with broccoli rabe, (a mildly seasoned garlicky vegie delight made with broccolini). Broccolirabe is the lovely ying to the yang touch of the yummy South Philly cheesesteak sandwich. But that's not the only cheesesteak sandwich they make!Now don't get me wrong, the south Philly cheesesteak sandwich was freaking delicious and I ate it all but... the broccoli rabe part of the sandwich was absolutely microscopic. I considered calling a forensic scientist to find it for me but I was able to find DNA traces of its presence on my own! Thanks college biology classes! However, on the more positive side the meat was tender, lean (without the gristle you get at other places) and very savory and there was plenty of meat in it. The provolone was delightfully gooey and the amoroso rolls... OMG ....chef's kiss!!!The service was also efficient and speedy, the ambiance is great (casual sports bar) and the staff was welcoming and casually warm and friendly. But if you are craving the tang of broccoli rabe you may have to order 'extra' (?) or better yet you may just need to bring your own.Overall, the cheesesteak sandwiches are VERY FILLING and VERY DELICIOUS. If you're from the general Philly/Jersey area, they will definitely meet your homesick cravings.

I've had both their Philly steak and pork with their broccoli-rob, excellent, but I've had them when they where at around their Campbell location, happy to see they have moved closer to me now, I didn't know.., service was great, ambiance was good.

Frankie's is amazing. They brought a large order to my son's baseball team and it was a HIT! (pun intended). They were so friendly, and they were on time and the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend for large groups or catering. Thank you again!
