Food City

CHORIZO, is my main reason for shopping at the Food City on St Mary's! I absolutely love buying the spicy one because I enjoy spicy foods/ breakfast! I love buying the spicy chorizo here along with a bag of potatoes. I normally chop the potatoes into small cubes and cook those first before I throw in some chorizo. It makes for a good hearty breakfast. If you love tortillas, they have a great selection here which would make for a great chorizo burrito as well. The staff here is always super kind and ready to help customers find what they need!

Hidden lunch gem inside of the food city grocery store! Had their Chile con carne plate and was delicious, tastes homemade ! Another favorite we get is the cocido, definitely one of the best in town. Make sure to stop by for some breakfast or lunch and they also have the best selection of aguas frescas !

Trying the breakfast here, wow!! Very good food and friendly service. Staff will let u taste the food to try before you buy it, that's awsome!! Even when you buy some groceries the staff is very helpful to assist in anything you need. I would recommend this place to anyone to try

Okay, so this FOOD CITY is the BOMB! They have a cocina that makes a variety of foods including but not limited to sopas/caldos, chile rellenos, burritos, breakfasts, lunch, sonoran hotgods, agua frescas, and even SUSHI!!! So, I go for the Gallina Pinta or Cocido. Both are great choices and served with a pan birote- grilled and buttered or a tortilla (flour/corn) of your preference. A large is only $7 and you can get it to go or eat there. 2nd best thing is the sushi. The sushi chef is amazing and he freshly prepares the sushi right then and there.

Store has the worst produce by far. Produce is dirty, chile verde looked like it has been put through a chopping machine. I couldn't even get half of the stuff I went to buy. I rather pay more and go to Fry's or Safeway.

This location has an amazing sushi chef. It's not a regular "grocery store to-go sushi level of sushi. Lol There is another sushi restaurant in the same shopping center. But I'd go to this food city to grab sushi instead of going to the Japanese sushi restaurant. I know this is supposed to be a review of the store as Food city. But just wanted to have everyone to try this store's to-go sushi. I don't know how many sushi chefs​ they have. But I always see a same guy at the sushi kitchen.

This grocery hands down has the best produce and the best prices in town! I mean without coupons - price matching- getting several papers- and a little prayer can you find red yellow or orange bell peppers (oh my! ) under $1! This location is very clean and has well all the produce you need - a panderia (had to force spell check) with tortilla pan dulce and fresh bolios- a Mexican deli - like what! I can order tacos de carnitas and shop. You can also find rare traditional Mexican items like salsa guacamole fruit cups and MOJO! And that's p4onounced moho for all my non-spanish speaking yelpers. Everyone is super nice at this location. Great customer service- greeters that actually greet. And the location is convenient for West and south sides of Tucson!

Shopped here November and December 2024. Very clean store. Nicest produce I've seen in any Tucson grocery store. Nicer produce than Safeway, Fty's and Whole Foods, In-store flour tortillas are excellent. Very low prices. Friendly helpful employees. Slow checkout

Waited over 45 min for assistance to get a piñata taken down, with multiple cashiers calling for help to get it down and no one ever came to help.

Oh my good , deception for my Mexican bread ( pan de huevo o conchas) I don't know what happen , maybe is the new staff o new recipe; I told my friends , hey you need to try to eat the conchas , this bread it's so good ... but not today. Was dry, poor flavor , please food city people you need to do something and change this horrible bread , back to the old recipe because is time now for the Mexican bread and hot chocolate traditions ,Please!!
