Floor Polish Dance Fitness

I have only been to shuffle flow class so my review is solely based on this class.I LOVE the class so much. The instructor Ozella is such an amazing person with full of positive energy. I had never shuffle danced before (always wanted to learn) and now I so look forward to going to her class every week!!This studio seems to have other interesting classes that I would love to try as well.

Funny name but decent floor space. Came on a Saturday night for bachata social dancing - but didn't stay long. Nobody there seemed to me very "polished" nor "Polish". At least there was no cover change. When I arrived, I had to wait for a group class to end. Watching quickly made it clear that this was not an event where (m)any "good dancers" would likely come and the bachata music was somewhat depressing. None of this is the fault of the venue. MAYBE whatever else they do here and whoever else might "teach" is "better" than what I saw here.

This awesome little studio just moved to the Avenue next to the Food Co-op after being off of Hoff for a while. They host a variety of different classes at all hours of the day and every day of the week. I especially love the den-like atmosphere in the late afternoons with a disco ball and fun colorful lights rotating off the walls. A much more soothing environment when you're trying to get your workout done at the end of the day. All of the instructors are as unique as the studio and have designed fun calorie burning workouts including a burlesque fitness class, Bollywood, tap, bachata and even belly dance classes along with the largest variety of yoga I've seen. To top it all off classes are only $6 or you can get a punch card that lowers that to $5! I love this alternative to all the cookie-cutter gym classes out there.

I love Floor Polish. It's like the love child of a unicorn and a javelina (hear me out): fun and sparkly with colorful lights and a disco ball like a beautiful mythical beast, unpretentious and a little funky with a swamp cooler and 80's-vibe photos on the calendar and fun swag for sale like a Tucson desert peccary. (Plus, javelinas are community-minded creatures, and the folks at Floor Polish are an asset to the 4th Avenue corridor.)Attending classes is quick & easy: sign in on a piece of paper, pay or buy a punch card, then get down to a great soundtrack. I love Lola Torch's "Strong Butt!" (aka "ass class"). It's an absolute blast and I never feel intimidated by her or the other students. Her Burlesque workshops are fun and welcoming, as well, and I am a huge fan of the place after going to classes intermittently for three months. A+. A buddy goes to DO(OM) yoga, because death metal + yoga is his jam. Something for everyone.

I can only comment on their Hip Hop Yoga class, which, needless to say, I was skeptical about, but it is my absolute favorite yoga class in all of Tucson. Alice is a natural born healer, with a deceptively soothing voice that will gently push you to your physical and mental limit. I leave every class feeling limber and energized.My only criticism would be that Hip Hop Yoga is only once a week, but every Saturday from 11:30 to 12:30, you'll know where to find me. Once in a while, you might even be honored to a live performance by immensely talented local artist, Lasso, setting a beautifully chill soundscape within which to explore your yogic practice. Amazing teacher, welcoming, nonjudgmental students, this is a very special space where both beginners and adepts may take their practice to the next level.

Quaint and charming. The owner is a pleasure and the Samba dance classes are incredible

Floor Polish is so good!! The new location is super convenient right next to the co-op on 4th avenue, and it's always affordable to stop in for one of the many awesome classes. Love the instructors here too ~ lots of positive energy!

Scheduled a class through Meetup at this Studio. Arrived at the location only to find the door locked and mail in the box. Walked up to the other location only to find it locked as well. Wasted over a hour of my life due to the unprofessional and discourtious actions of the instructor. Like how difficult is it in this day and age to cancel a class and notify the paying students via Meetup???

This place is such a wonderful gem. The classes and teachers are incredible - truly a one of a kind studio! Every class offers something different so I recommend trying them all.
