10/10 if I could! Had a photo shoot done in September for a late birthday gift. I'm very self critical and was concerned about how my photos would turn out.. they're amazing! I did the calendar girl package and my calendar is awesome. Also ordered a poster which I will have framed! Ramsey is very detail oriented and really gets into your head with you about how you want your photos to be portrayed. She stayed patient with my indecisive opinions and at the end of the day her recommendations were beyond par. I will do it again sometime and recommend it to all reading this!

Flash in the Past is a vintage pin-up style photography studio. They stay true the pin-up aesthetic, using only vintage or high-quality reproduction clothing items and fabulous wigs. I went to Flash in the Past a year and a half ago, at the old location, and had a wonderful time. Think full-service treatment, from chocolate-covered strawberries to your own personal makeup artist.Ramsey, the owner and photographer of FITP, makes you feel at ease, helping you pose and telling you what a great job you're doing. As a narcissist with no modeling experience, it was reassuring and made the experience much more enjoyable. A couple of weeks later, I got my proofs. AMAZING. I showed up to my appointment in sweats, but you'd think I lived in red lipstick and lingerie based on these photos. I felt, and looked, beautiful. I encourage anyone who wants to treat themselves (or a loved one!) to book an appointment with Flash in the Past. They offer all sorts of packages, from the basic mini-shoot to a full suite of add-ons. Forget diamonds, for a pin-up girl, Flash in the Past is a girl's best friend.

Flash in the Past was five stars from start to finish. Ramsay was a joy to work with from booking all the way to picking up my photos at the end, and made me look and feel like a gorgeous movie star. Not only is her entire collection almost entirely vintage, but she's got an incredible eye for style and even if you have no idea what look you're going for, she can pick out something extremely flattering for your body shape. I already purchased another package as a gift, can't wait to see my friend get her pics done! :)

I'm not usually at a loss for superlatives, but oh. My. God. This place. THIS PLACE. Treating myself to the Flash in the Past experience was the single best thing I've ever done for myself. The owner of FITP is an absolute sweetheart. The whole process is comfortable and also extremely professional. She knows what she's doing! Also, I HIGHLY recommend getting your hair done. It lasted three days! Ladies, don't wait to do things you want to do. I waited four years to get my pictures taken because I wanted to wait until I had lost weight or for an occasion or for a special someone. Life is too short for that nonsense! Do something that makes you feel good RIGHT NOW.I could write a novel about how much fun I had and the pictures turned out to be GORGEOUS. Go! Have some fun and support a local business.

Holy Pin-Up Girls Batman! I booked a shoot as a 5th Wedding Anniversary gift to my husband and he asked "Well what am I getting you?" I looked at him and said "You're getting me a vintage pinup shoot!" After the shoot I can think of no truer words. Honestly I think I'm getting the better end of that deal! Ramsey, the photographer, and Kelly, make up artist, are incredibly charming and personable. I seriously walked in for my photo shoot and felt like I had known these lovely ladies my whooole life. They were easy going, sweet, and very helpful to someone who was unsure of the process. I told Ramsey I love Bettie Page but had no clue what to wear but that I liked reds/blacks and she pulled a ton of options, had me try them on and helped me pick out what was the most flattering. We ended up doing two outfits rather than just one because she liked them both so much. I also got to pick out props for the shoot. I chose a leopard print chair because rawr right? I also felt fabulous in my makeup and asked Kelly what she was doing while she was doing it and she talked me through everything. She was so good, in fact, I signed up for one of the makeup/hairstyle classes the next day! They offered me makeup wipes afterward and I think I replied "Who'd ever want to take this off?!" I think this may become my regular treat!

The other day I was going through some old pictures I had in frames from several moves ago and there they were, all the photos from THE MOST AMAZING PHOTO SHOOT OF MY LIFE!!!! I had gone in to see Ramsey and her amazing team of women over 15yrs ago to do a photo shoot for my husband while he had been deployed with the Air Force to the war. I had imagined a shoot in an up-do with the gorgeous, starlet make-up and nothing but an antique American flag dropped around me and some heels. What better for MY American hero?! Well, needless to say I felt bold think8ng about doing it but when I was driving over I got really nervous....beyond nervous!!!! But Ramsey and the crew were so sweet and kind. They can put the most nerve wracked person at ease. They are the best friends you never knew you had! The shoots are so much fun!!! Ramsey's hair stylist was incredible. She gave me the exact 20's hairdo I had in my minds eye. I looked amazing. The make-up, the make-up, I didn't want it to EVER come off!!!! The poses Ramsey put me in were sooooo flattering for my body, so elegant, so flattering....we also laughed so much when I was being so awkward with hitting poses, I wasn't even embarrassed because it was like hanging out with a friend. Oh, by the way, you can bring a friend, too.The finished product was BEYOND my EXPECTATIONS!!!! I was so proud and excited to give those photos to my husband when he finally came home from his deployment. I don't think he could have been more pleased with his gift.My husband and I have now been married for 35yrs and I am 54yrs old and let me tell you, seeing those photos at this point in my life brought tears to my eyes remembering that time in my life.

Flash In The Past is an amazing experience that will give you photos to cherish for the rest of your life. I came in with my concept for a Christmas card, my costume and my hair done. But none of that is a pre-requisite. Ramsey, the photog, has plenty of ideas and really has an eye for vintage. She has a room full of costumes and props. She has make-up and hair artists. Her whole house is set up for photo shoots. She's patient, she puts you at ease, and she gets the shots that you'll want to share. My Christmas card was a hit and everyone wanted to know who made it. Give yourself a treat (and possibly your significant other) and go see Ramsey!
