Well, Expedia didn't accept my review probably because I mentioned that the price being advertised on the street was way less than what I paid for my reservation. I found that same thing in Las Vegas, though. As far as Flamingo goes, it seems like a fairly cute place, pink and nostalgic, but the upkeep could be better. It has a kitchen and coffee maker, but no coffee cups or plates or utensils of any kind. The Bathroom door had a problem closing. No iron or hair dryer. We borrowed both from office. If you go there, look in the fridge, we forgot 4 Newcastles.

I lived here for over a year. Not wanting to sign a lease , I decided to go for the monthly option. Whether you want to stay a night, week or month, I strongly advise anyone from giving this place your business. The grounds around the property is well maintained, but this is the only positive thing to give. Internet never worked , unless you were next to the office. They advertise premium cable channels... Nothing is further from the truth. Count on bad connection with your choice of around 8 channels. Furniture is out dated. I had a major leak in my room during monsoon season Which was ignored. Markus is the manager of the property, as well as the son of the owner. The family that owns the property are nothing less than slum-lords. Totally ungrateful to the tenants. I felt compelled to share because this property is simply failing all around.

They say read the reviews for a reason! First room they put me in (#116) had roaches (pregnant ones) and the AC wasn't working. I had to move my things in the middle of the night to the opposite side of he property (#103). Found out the next morning that this room wasn't a "weekly" and because there was some so called miscommunication with me having my two sons (even though they watched us all move in the first room), we had to move to an upstairs room (#223) and the price was more than originally discussed. They claim the rooms are non smoking but apparently allowed the previous renter to stay for two weeks before they were kicked out for smoking in the room. So when I got in there it reeked of smoke. Smoke smell began to absorb in my clothes. After I expressed my concerns, the curtains were cleaned, linens changed and carpet cleaned. Just when the smell had seized and I had one day left, I seen a bedbug running across my blanket. I immediately brought it to Sue's attention and she said she'll take care of it in the morning since I was checking out. Really? Now I have to wash all my clothes and personal belongings I brought to make sure I don't bring them to the next place I go. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT RENT HERE! WASTE OF YOUR MONEY!

Flamingo suits is exactly what you would expect from an aging 60s ish motelThe room has stove fridge micro wave and coffee pot, but no cups, drinking glasses, utensils of any kind. Some old ratty furniture, a couple of beds, a bathroom with 3/4 of a roll of toilet paper, a couple towels and wash cloths. The TV was one step above black n white with a dozen channels. The beds were old but seemed relatively clean. Our first mission was to run to the store and pick up some solo cups, coffee mugs and a bottle of fabreeze for the musty smell in the room. Sixty bucks a night is a little on the high side for this place, I would suggest going across the street to the best western. We stayed 4 nights, because the location was close to food and drink. Hope we didn't catch anything.

I have the misfortune of living in the townhouses next to this eyesore. I will soon be buying fencing for my back wall because random trash is pitched into my yard by their guests. As for artistic flair, does graffiti count? I look forward to the day they knock this place to the ground.

Im gonna get straight to the point. All anyone cares about is what you can dig out the carpets in a place like this....... Prizes....amazing what you can find .. stuff that looks like jewelry, crumbs, baking soda, pieces of past crack pipes. You never know what could be in that old syringe behind the dresser. Only one way to find put!!!.. So much fun....Little crack rocks that may actually be plaster. Everything is soaked with all sorts of scary fun fluid. It could be a mixture of urine, blood, semen, and tears. It could be vomit or alcohol. Nobody knows and its kind of fun trying to figure out why the place is so damp. Go there yourself and see if you can figure out. Don't forget, give them an extra 7 bucks and they wont rub your name for warrants.

BEDBUGS in room 124This was the first time that I have encountered bedbugs in any hotel. I was bitten 10 or so times in the night... I've travelled throughout Central and South America and stayed at some pretty seedy hotels without having a similar terrible incident. However, I've now read on the web that bedbug infestations have increased dramatically within the US over the last 10 years or so. The Flamingo Suites is no dive, and the room we stayed in had good access, a nice kitchen, was quiet, and the hotel grounds are beautifully landscaped. However, the rug was quite dirty (turned soles of bare feet almost black after taking only a few steps) and most notably the area under the headboard was filthy. The latter floor area was inspected while looking for crawling bedbugs; I pulled the bed away from the wall upon waking early in morning and after finding numerous bloodspots on white bedsheets. I found 4 bedbugs in total - 3 on sheets and one one the wall below headboard. I was able to collect 3 of these parasites and deposited them in a tiny shampoo bottle. I gave the bottle with the insect parasites to hotel staff. I also showed the hotel staff the bloodspots on my sheets and also pointed out that similar bloodspots were evident on the sheets of my wife's bed (these blood stains remained after the sheets were washed) - though thankfully she was not attacked in the night. However, the telltale bloodspots on her sheets may be a sign that other rooms in this hotel may be infested with this human parasite. Although the hotel staff assured me that the hotel's owner would call me to discuss this matter, he never did. I carry a pillow with me on trips, but decided to abandon it given the high probability that it would have eggs of bedbugs deposited on it.That afternoon we departed Tucson and flew home to Maryland. Even though I left our suitcases in the back of our minivan for 2 1/2 days, incredibly - I still pulled a LIVE adult bedbug from the outside of my cloth suitcase. What an experience... Now I have the added problem of monitoring for and perhaps exterminating these human parasites at my home!

The best thing about this place is its website. They make it sound like a charming and inexpensive place to stay. The outside--as seen from a distance--is also enticing. The good parts stop there! As we unloaded our luggage (after a long and tiring drive) we watched 3 police vehicles pull up to roust out a roomful (about 6) rowdy, brawling drunks. Too late to look elsewhere...and we had reservations. The close up view of the exterior reveals crumbling and peeling paint. The suite had dirty and worn out furniture. The kitchen was as advertised, but had NO UTENSILS, PLATES, CUPS, POTS, PANS.....nothing. (I guess one is supposed to carry these things in one's suitcase). The manager promised to have housekeeping bring these items in the morning, but....I guess they or he forgot. The place has a pool......it is green and slimy, but it IS a pool. OK....it's all a matter of taste. Some people like green, slimy, noisy, smelly, deteriorated places.....

As a poorish grad student I like to economize on hotels. I stay in extended stay suites, suburban motels, etc. Sometimes I push this too far. That's when I end up at this allergen palace. It took only a 2 hour nap on the bed for me to develop nasty allergy symptoms. Since Tucson is not exactly known for pollen, there is only one explanation: this mattress is as old as the place itself and full of dustmite. Dustmite allergy is very common and it is unacceptable for even a cheap hotel not to take steps to prevent it. It doesn't take much: regular cleaning and vacuuming, selecting hypoallergenic bedding (not even that expensive, you just need to look for it), and replacing it occasionally. Come on. That's what you get paid for. if econolodge can pull it off so can you.Oh, and also, there is no wifi.

Stayed in April 2016 for two nights. Bedbugs ate me alive. I have dozen bites each on my arms and legs. The office manager wouldn't do anything about it. Stay away. Not worth it.
