Feminine Mystique Art Gallery

This gallery is fantastic and I only hope they will continue to be around. I saw after shopping that they had a sign on their door noting that this gallery is for sale and how they have been open and operating for 20+ years. I really hope someone takes over because I love the name, vibes of this gallery, and the artisans they showcased inside.Definitely look up this gallery on your GPS as I'll admit it was not easy to find. Basically it's not located on the main downtown Tubac shopping streets so I definitely had to stumble upon this store by accident to find it. The best way I can describe the location is that it is pretty much located behind the Elvira's restaurant.This gallery had a great selection of local art. I ended up buying a print that reminded me of myself and my cat (yes the single crazy cat lady title is showing). It was priced so reasonably at $35 that while only a print, it's a limited edition print and it'll make me smile because it reminds me of me and my kitty. Very Fleetwood Mac witchy vibes. There were other items I wanted in the store but paced myself. Loved their artwork and they even had some cool vintage jewelry, the jewelry was too pricey for me but again it was very cool.The ladies working at this gallery were beyond lovely and sweet. They made me feel comfortable and valued as a customer. I'm really sad they'll be selling this gallery but I really hope someone buys it and keeps the tradition alive.

we went there with 2 young kids (4 and 6 yrs old) and the woman working there was very welcoming and patient with us - even offered a little gift free each for our kids. There's a lot of variety in this gallery - from fine works of art and pottery to textiles and cards. Something for everyone, all crafted by female artists and artisans from the area. We felt welcomed and stayed the longest from all the many galleries in Tubac and ended up buying the most in return (we loved the unique horse statues by Sheena Cameron in particular). We also liked the painted mini gourds which make memorable X-mas tree decorations. Loads to look at. Would come back.
