Family Vision Center

My husband was having issues with his left eye, so I made an appointment for him with Dr. Amy at Family Vision Center. She was able to diagnose him and prescribed some antibiotic drops. He told me that she was so nice and that he wished more doctors were like that! Thank you to Family Vision Center for getting the issue taken care of quickly and for treating him well.

Dr Amy is very sweet and very professional. Unfortunately, the exceptionally rude and unprofessional treatment by a front desk person is enough to make me take my business elsewhere. In addition, this place charged me $337 for 90 days of contact lenses, but I got a 180 day supply of the exact same from 800-CONTACTS for $403. Frames, lenses and contacts are way overpriced here.

I've had good experiences with Dr. Jones and with the glasses I've bought here. But good luck trying to get in touch with anyone in the office by phone or email. I wasn't given a copy of my glasses prescription at my last appointment, and I can't seem to contact anyone to obtain it. I was hoping not to have to make a special trip, but I guess I'll be showing up there in person to get this resolved.Quick edit: I went to the office to pick up my prescription. Got this done quickly, no problems. I was told their internet was down this morning, which is why they couldn't take phone calls. I also asked about email messaging via the "Contact Us" link on their website. I was told point blank that no one answers that. So, better to call (if possible) or show up in person.

I had a prescription change exam with Dr Amy... nice person, very satisfied... $48... I had never been in before and they did not insist on a full exam... I called for another prescription change exam... this time they gave me some nonsense about having to do a full exam... which I did not want or need... since I had not been in to THEM for a few years... I had several such exams at retina Associates, which is a great place, but they do not do prescriptions... so what changed, other than an increase in greed? BTW: their prices on eyeglasses are outrageous.

On the plus side, the waiting area and office areas are modern and nice, and the exam process is thorough, with a helpful team in place. On the down side, I went for a full vision exam and asked to receive a copy of my prescription that day. A few weeks later, when I decided to shop for eyeglasses, I realized that my Rx didn't have the PD included. When I stopped by Family Vision to ask for that measurement, they didn't have it on record and said it would be a $10 charge to provide it because they needed to compensate the optician for the time needed to perform the task. I noted that I was a current customer who had just had an exam, but the assistant said that didn't matter. In many decades of visiting eye doctors in several states, I have never been asked to pay a fee for my PD measurement, and it's unclear why that isn't part of an exam and/or covered by insurance. Overall, I will still go there and appreciate the convenient location.

I absolutely love this place. The staff is friendly, and kind. Dr Anna is a true blessing. You don't find very many drs like her. She really cares for and is concerned with her patients well-being. I'm very grateful to have found Family Vision Eye Care.

Dr. Jones is the best! Professional and friendly. Vanessa was awesome too! She helped me pick out and order glasses. I highly recommend both and this eye glass center.

The front desk staff is extremely rude and inefficient. The lack of professionalism displayed by the front desk staff was appalling.

June 24 2023 I arrived in the lobby at family vision center on Tanque Verde.I had a pair of 2 year old bi focal glasses I had purchased there. I brought along the glasses as I expected to show them to the sales pErwin and buy new ones. My two year old glasses were ruined, I thought. Not so! Camyle came to the rescue. She was sure she could fix them. Her demeanor was friendly, competent and professional. About fifteen minutes later, my glasses were fixed. Thank you Camyle! she would not accept payment. what a fine person and employee!

It seems that they do not have scheduling personnel who are well trained when I called 3 times all those calls were repetitive. I gave my information 3 times. Off to a bad start so I decided not go be a customer In this office.
