The staff was friendly but the hotel felt old and dirty. The bathroom was not clean and not to mention the floor was extremely sticky. I have brand loyalty with Marriott but will probably not stay in the hotel again. In a positive note the hotel is a stones throw away from the airport. This made my midnight arrival much easier to cope with. The hotel serves breakfast daily but I would not recommend to anyone with a decent pallet.

I stay here a few times a year. 13 minute walk from the hotel to the US Airways check in counter. Shuttle available. Consistent Marriott property standards. Free breakfast from 6-9AM. I had to leave at 5:30 and could still have coffee, a yogurt and fruit. Has more floor level outlets instead of desk level, but then, so does my house. PRO: close to the airport CON: close to the airport and not much else. Some 24 hr fast food and mini market within 2.5 blocks at Tucson Blvd and Valencia. Other than that it's Club Turbulence, which is a tame strip club with full bar and no food.

Ok location. Rooms are good. Not many elec outlets for the toys (laptop, iPad, Blackberry). Television is just ok. I had a top floor room, 3 floors, and was quiet, except for military jets during the day. But nothing is safe from their noise. I prob would not stay here again. Atlantic Aviation chose this for me. And they are not far away, maybe a mile, so was convenient. There are half dozen other hotels next door to choose from however. Try them instead.

My routine was usual: travel for business, stay at a Marriott property. I typically find each one acceptable (of course, "adjusting" for the property level). But this had "bad vibes" from the moment I approached the front desk.*** the clerk was on the phone, taking a reservation, and taking the time. Yes, customer service is important. But if there are more than two guests waiting to check in, typically someone steps out of the back office to help. Not here, though you hear voices from the office behind the counter.*** finally, I'm at the counter. Got the key, got the wi-fi code, and head to the elevator. Doors open, and you see a worn-out, tattered, sickly- green carpet on the floor. Ugh.. Ok up we go. The hallway smells like every guest ordered take-out and has not thrown out the left-overs!!*** Here is room 300, slide the key, open the door, look for the light. VOILA. Holy cow -I'm I someone else's room! There is an almost-empty water bottle at the sink, dirty towel next to it, a slept-in bed with pillows and covers strewn across it, an old newspaper.*** I call downstairs to clarify what's going on: the phone rings, rings, rings, and rings more &more. Aah, yes, there is only one clerk at the counter, and whoever else was in the office is "unable" to assist. Off I go schlepping downstairs with my luggage and laptop.*** I approach the counter, advising that I was either sent to an occupied room, or someone clearly did not do his/her job properly. I wanted to know how a used room was marked available for arriving guests!! Just a stare back and "I really don't know". Sorry, sorry, yeah, yeah -give me the key to a new room. But I requested someone verify it is clean, and only then made my way there.*** the following morning I head into the shower, turn on the water, throw the handle to extreme "hot" and climb in after a minute, only to discover the water is barely luke-warm. NOOO!! Step out, let it run for a bit longer, try again (with my hand) - no changes. Ring, ring, front desk. Has anyone called about no hot water in the shower?... No, no one has.... Well, my shower is barely luke-warm... Sorry, probably many people are taking a shower and using up the hot water, the hotel is sold out... Are you serious??? Hotels are built on an assumption of full capacity and are designed to supply hot water to all guests!! What do you suggest I do for a shower? ... Sorry, we are sold out... ((Omg this is not happening!))*** go to the sink, turn on the water: the "hot" is piping hot!! Damn, the shower mixer must be broken. How is it the hotel management does to know that? Ring ring, front desk. Yes, it's me again, and FYI - the sink water is running very hot!... Really?... YES, so the water mixer in the shower must be broken... I'm sorry, I'll advise engineering. ((but still no shower)).*** as the last pathetic attempt to wash up properly, I literally forced my colleague, who was ready to head to the airport to catch an earlier flight, to return and open his room for me, to take a shower!!! How sad is that...Upon check-out, it was confirmed the mixer in the room 300 shower is installed backwards: so "cold" gives you hot water, and vice versa. So if you know it, FIX IT, or don't put guests into that room! Some to the manager, who has an attitude, regarding compensation for the "fun" experience. She said that she already deposited 1k points too my account, and is unable to do anything else... Ok! Thankfully, I don't foresee plans to travel to Tucson any time soon.. And if by unfortunate chance I will, this Fairfield will not be my lodging choice - ever. The only positive thing I can say is there were cookies at the front desk upon check-in. But I cannot vouch for flavor or freshness: did not have any.

Decent room and free beer and snacks a few nights a week. If I go back to Tucson, I would stay here again for sure. RIght by the airport, but the noise did not bother us at all.

I should've waited until breakfast in the morning to write my review of this hotel. Don't bother with breakfast here. The scrambles eggs were cold, flavorless and crispy (overcooked). The sausage was ok, but I've had better at other Marriotts. The food area was a mess, cereal, juice, waffle batter and bread crumbs were everywhere and the staff didn't seem to notice or care that it looked disgusting. Add this to the distance to a normal restaurant and downtown and we won't be staying here again on our next visit to Tucson.

Clean rooms with a friendly staff. Liked the actual hot breakfast. Not the microwave breakfast sandwich warm up. The price was great baking it an even better value . Will be back for the gem show. Lots of parking with automatic front doors .

This hotel is right outside of the Tucson Airport. It is one of the better Fairfield Inns. The people were friendly, the room was clean and roomy. Hurray for microwave and frig in room. The breakfast was one of the best with make it yourself waffles, very good. Apples, bananas, fruit juice and some ho hum pasteries were about all I remember. Price was good too.

Our stay was great, no problems. The check-in was smooth and we were in our room in minutes. We hardly noticed airport noise (this isn't PHX), We had a restful night and typical Fairfield breakfast grazing. This property met every expectation.
