I went to the Campbell/Grant location with some valuable jewelry to sell. The office was very difficult to find. It's in an office building with many, many other tenants, and no signs telling customers where the business was located. The woman doing the appraisals seemed to be well trained, but she had no ability to negotiate the extremely low prices she placed on my jewelry. I understand that I will take a loss on the items I sell (there's a huge markup in new diamonds, for example). But, the amount of money she was willing to give me was insultingly low. I left the office upset, and felt I could have easily been scammed.I'd advise jewelry sellers find a business where the person who will be buying your diamonds, gold, etc be the decision maker/owner. They are the only people who have negotiating power in these transactions.
