Emails from the company

I did first aid only. The class was inadequate. There was no practice component at all...even though you can take the class online so people choose in person for the practical practice. We didn't learn the content; we did the final exam together and either the answers were obvious or we didn't know. They didn't get me proof of completion for 3 weeks. Our class was over filled and there were not enough certificate cards. Fine...mine can be mailed. I didn't get it (also fine...they aren't responsible if mail doesn't arrive) so a week later I called. I had a note to send a new card placed on my file. I didn't get that one either, and the employee I talked snarkily asked "didnt you get a card in class?". The date was late September 2023; a government shutdown looked likely and that could affect mail. So I requested an email. I didn't get one, so I emailed the email on my confirmation email. I added my phone number and said a text picture was fine too. Nothing. I wrote back again and said I needed it by this Monday or I would be consulting an attorney about the next step. Still nothing. I called a third time and a confused employee said she had talked to me before and I had been sent two emails. I asked why an email with the certificate isn't automatic anyway, and the answer was "because you took the class in person...not online".Shortly after this I got an automated text saying "sorry we missed your call". I finally got an email, but with a message saying "I got a message that you don't have your card. I mailed all cards last week, but here is an email since you requested one. Send me your address and I will mail the card.". Absolutely ridiculous. We get an automatic confirmation email, and employers prefer an email to a picture of the card.

I attended the 10am class on Saturday, August 31st. This "class" was a complete joke and waste of time and money. I was so disgusted by the way this class was led that I left before the test was given, and so would believe a refund is in order. The "instructor", Steven Lepore, was rude, degrading, unprofessional, and completely ignorant about what he was supposed to be teaching. This was not my first CPR/First Aid course, so I have some previous knowledge on the subjects. However, in a class that was already overflowing with people, he was not a good example to others who had no previous training. He could not pronounce some basic medical or he said words completely wrong. He repeatedly made comments about how the way the world is now, you can't tell if someone is female doctors i.e. transgendered, or if they've not been through puberty so it's hard to tell if they're an adult or child so you have to figure out which method of CPR to use. He then said how he would only put his mouth on a baby depending on how the parents looked, like if they were drug addicts he wouldn't because the baby probably had diseases... Or how it's harder to do chest compressions on fat people or women with large breasts. And then detailed how he had to resuscitate a 400lb guy whose fat went over his hand. And how Tucson has the shittiest drivers, and people OD in Tucson all the time. Or how Tucson has a Hep-C outbreak. He was completely degrading about Tucson in general. He and his co-instructor, a young woman who did nothing to discourage or help him, are not suitable to teach a CPR class. Everything he said was contradictory things. He skipped the videos of the doctors from the Sarver Heart Center at the University of Arizona because he said "they used big wordsthat we wouldn't be able to understand" and that "he could barely understand them". The Sarver Heart Center has a long history with CPR techniques. It's the place that came up with the whole Cardiocerebral Resuscitation and they lead the initiative on teaching the chest compressions only CPR to the public. And yes people will actually do that than actual CPR, there were studies on it, Steven Lepore claimed there wasn't. I left before I could hear any more stupidity. My coworkers who stayed, came out of it in disbelief, feeling they needed to take the course again from someone competent. And all claimed that the unprofessionalism continued. Now, I don't believe anything Mr. Lepore said was with malicious intent, but the manner in which he said it displayed an ignorance your company should be embarrassed to allow to continue.I will be in to collect my refund in the next business day.

Very very unprofessional company. A few months back I signed up for a class because I needed it for my job. I payed in advance online about $35 to get a discount if I pay ahead. When the class came up, I couldn't make it so I canceled it. I rescheduled and couldn't make it again so I called to cancel it again. When I finally could make it, I arrived to see on the door that there was a paper that said the class was canceled. I checked my emails and the website to see if they informed or gave a heads up, and nothing. I thought this was such a waste of time because they didn't give a heads up and I had to drive all the way out there for nothing. I decided not to take the class at this location so I went on their emails and websites to check if they allow refunds or not, nothing on the website said they didn't so I kindly emailed them asking for a refund, they responded back saying that they don't do refunds. I emailed back and I didn't get a response. I ended up calling and I was informed that they would return me a refund because they had read my email, they said it would take about 30 days. It has been about 2 months and I still haven't received a refund. I emailed them again recently with NO reply. Such a waste of money and time. Would NOT recommend.
