This review is for the Disc Golf course. El Rio is beautiful but only being able to reserve a tee time after 2pm is total BS! It's nice to have carts but you play hole for hole with the ball golfers and no one seems to know who has the right of way. Lots of cross traffic with balls flying around and not much respect from other players. We pay to play just like everyone else and some transparency between the two sports sharing the same space would be great.

A very well-maintained municipal golf course in Tucson. Nicely laid out and not overly challenging, but you have to mind the traps around a few of the holes. Reasonably priced, and helpful employees. We had a lot of fun playing the course as out-of-towners, and a local joined us as a third who plays there often, so we got some tips on hole placement and the flow of the greens. A good day!

On a regular day it will take you five hours to play this course. On a busy day - six, maybe seven. Incredibly slow pace of play and no enforcement whatsoever. 10-15 minute wait on every hole to hits Plan on an all-day affair here and if you're teeing off after noon, you will likely not finish your round by sunset.

It was a gorgeous day! Sunshine! Perfect day for golf! The staff was friendly and helpful! Very nice. The "cafeteria" did not appear open. This course traditionally has hard greens and indeed they were. Today they were not only hard, but not cut well. Bumpy. Some greens were cut short. Most cut long. Grainy. So you have hard, slow bumpy greens. The fairways? What fairways! I would not call it grass. Some quack grass? In other words the fairways were not good. Hitting off hard ground. In other words all tight lies! Only got in one fairway bunker, that seemed fine. But cannot talk about the bunkers (thank goodness). All in all I hope not to go back for a long time.

This is a short course and it is currently in excellent shape. From fairways to greens the place looks great. Sand traps are more like dirt traps so stay out!Summer time has some great deals. Staff is very friendly. The course might be short, but has great challenges, you will have a great time at this golf course

Great golf course, managed to lose my range finder while out on the course. I called a few days later and recovered my range finder! Awesome staff! Thank you!

We are regulars at El Rio and it's partly because of people like Gato and Mackenzie! They are helpful and attentive on the golf course. Gato is the friendly and efficient starter who's knowledgeable of the course and makes for a pleasant outing every time. He checks on the golfers as they play. Mackenzie delivers us drinks and snacks with a smile. A great experience and good value at El Rio!
