El Rio Branch Library

My local library branch has some amazing librarians who are so knowledgable, helpful, and community-oriented. This branch is very small but has so much to offer!Firstly, they have a great computer room for those who need to access computer services. Secondly, while this is not a typical branch where you can go and browse a large selection of books/media, it is a great hub for making media reservations with the library system online and having them shipped to this branch for pickup. Thirdly, this library has flyers and information about community events and public health information and is valuable to our hyperlocal neighborhood! I was also able to pick up covid tests for our household here, and the librarians helped me to connect mine and my husband's library card accounts so we can pick up each other's library materials for the other!

El Rio is small, but when I use the inter-library book transfer system, they send you an email when your book(s) are at El Rio and ready for pickup. This is the closest branch to my home so I hope it opens again real soon.

Any library is a good library but this one is sadly quite small and lacking on books. The librarians are very nice and helpful though. I think I probably have more books for adult readers then they do. It's a good little library for kids though.

It is quite small but friendly. Never empty of users so certainly useful in the community. I like it for audiobooks and with its nearby location it is a great spot for my transfer requests. Our library system is precious.
