El Potosino

Stopped by for lunch. It's affordable, but sometimes the carne asada is fatty. They have delicious horchata, and the red salsa is spicy! I love it when the salsa has a kick. Overall, it's not bad but not the greatest either. I ordered the California burrito and a large horchata. Service was good, and the food was ready pretty fast.

The food here is usually good, but my goodness, can we get an order correct? Just trying to get a quick order for dinner and ordered their 2 shredded taco special on a Tuesday and received anything but that!I received a tortilla folded up with a side of rice and beans, seriously, that is a taco huh?? I also had a burrito with the order and just ended up taking the whole thing back for a refund. If they screwed up that bad on 2 tacos, they surely messed up the burrito (as it had more than one request with it). Waste of time and money going here anymore. Doesn't seem like they care about the customers or getting the correct order to them.

I had a California burrito ($10.30) and a small horchata ($2.10) for lunch. Both were tasty. This is a simple fast-food restaurant. Quick service, good food, reasonable prices.

As for "Diners, Dives and Drive-in's" this ain't no Diner. It's a humble dive-drive in. No frills atmosphere but absolutely the best menudo I've ever had. Service was fast but the drive through was very short, only room for two cars. Access to the drive through is from Prince Rd. Their menu is classic Mexican and is authentic. Gotta be there early for the menudo bc when it's gone it's gone. I got there at 7am and was warned ahead of time that it would probably be gone by 9. Only available on the weekends. I've found my new addiction, 1/2 gallon at a time!

Ordered the bacon breakfast burrito and it was great! Very fresh and not dry, the tortilla was very flavorful and the burrito was huge! Comparable to if not better than Los Favoritos in Phoenix. The green and red salsas were very good. Only downside was that I had to pay extra to add cheese and potatoes to my bacon and egg burrito which normally just comes with it put worth it for the size.

They are closing early now - no longer 24hrs. I've gotten there at least three times before 3am (and on a Saturday) and was told they're closed or just figured it out on my own. Change the hours of operation or at least turn out the light on the order board. I'm done tho. Sadly too, because I like the food better than Los Betos. I work late and don't want to waste the time driving there just to be told they're closed. Bye Potosino. It was good while it was what it was.

I'm about to run into a meeting at work, but I had to write this review first... so it's going to be short and delicious!I just had THE BEST carne asada burrito I've ever eaten. Yes, seriously... and, if you know me and know Mexican food in Tucson, you understand how big of a statement this is.Hot tender meat, crisp pico, SUPER fresh guac and the tortilla was thick, soft, and perfectly chewy.That's it. That's the entire review... BEST CARNE ASADA BURRITO EVER!!! Period, done. Nothing else needs to be said.If you're in Tucson, get to El Potosino on the NW corner of Prince & Flowing Wells and put one in your belly! You're welcome!

East speedway & Pantano ne west of cvs? On corner. Very clean , small indoor dining, busy drive through . My go to favorite is # 16 2 chili rellenos with refried beans. 2 huge tortillas come with it.I'll take home for weekend " football" food sometimes poach a couple eggs on top . Heard others like carne asada burritos et al. Parking surrounds .Brake max to the west big Frys across the street .

A Restaurant ran by Highschoolers who will never graduate.I ordered one thing very simpleCarne asada fries I left pictures below of what it should look like versus what it did. The entire restaurant is ran by high schoolers who give no shits about how to cook. I paid extra for extra toppings and got this. Stale melted cheese on undercooked fries may just be par boiled potatoes with fatty pieces of meat literally impossible to chew.

I eat El Postosino food nearly every night, as my wife stops in on her way home from work and gets us dinner. And for the money, it is the best, as the food is always delicious. And though there has beeen one or two times the order was incorrect, that is expected to happen at times, as it is a busy restaurant...love El Potosino. Should be eating their food in the next two hours or so and can hardly wait, because it is delicious.
