Sometimes things don't get better. Dont know why, but the food isn't as good as it was 4 yrs ago, even less good a few years later, then, so meh it wasn't worth coming anymore. Decided (I was next door) to give 1 last shot. The food was 3 stars. They made a couple real missteps over the last 5 years that have left me not coming here more than once every 3 months. Too bad, I used to love your healthy menu items (cauliflower rice I'm talking about you!) & the quality just isn't the same on their staple - chicken. Sorry, I'll be looking for a new place to enjoy healthy Mexican food.

Had a power bowl, it was great. Flavorful and filling. No dead or nasty salad pieces all were crispy and green. Quick and friendly service, ate in and the dinning area was clean.

Really quick service through the drive through. I enjoyed the 2 piece chicken breast and wing meal I ordered. I loved the flavor of the chicken. For my sides, I enjoyed the mashed potatoes and gravy and the corn. The chips and salsa were also good. I would definitely come back!

We've driven by this place so many times and finally decided to give it a try. The app wasn't working for us, so we ended up having to go inside to order and figure out the menu. I almost deducted a star for the app experience, but that wasn't on this location, so I decided not to.Once we were inside, the manager was really kind in ensuring the app offer worked and our order was correct. We both got pollo bowls with modifications and the bowls came out hot, well seasoned and correct. The amount of food is less than say a chipotle bowl, but I preferred that as it was more than enough without being overwhelming. The pico was fresh and flavorful and the chicken was juicy and well seasoned. The food came out quickly and the restaurant was clean. The value for the bowls was also good, $5 without modifications or about $7 with chips and a drink. We'll definitely come back when we're in the area for a quick bite!

We were looking for a quick bite before attending a rock and gem show. El Pollo Loco caught my eye so we made a stop.I ordered the Classic chicken burrito. They were busy so the order took about 10 minutes. Received my order and asked for two avocado salsas for the burrito. The burrito was decent especially with the avocado salsa on it.

This location has gone from 5 to 1! Portions are 1/2! Quality down my tostada had tsp of rice no beans, dried up chicken wow! With all the new competition coming to North Tucson you all need to get back to hot, fresh, quality food! Very disappointing 2nd time in past 2 months I've been disappointed! Last time I thought must've just been crew that day?

Can't believe I've lived in Tucson for 13 years and never been here. I was nearby having my windshield replaced and grabbed lunch while I waited. Nice menu with lots of healthy choices.I opted for the 3 pc chicken (dark meat). It was ready super-quick, under 1 minute! Absolutely delicious! The flavor was good, chicken was just a little dry for dark meat, skin reasonably crispy (not as crispy as KFC), the salad was nice and the beans were exceptional with a little kick to them.I will definitely be back. Great place for a quick, reasonable, healthy lunch. Not a big fan of the background music, but n accounting for taste!!

I've grown up on El Pollo Loco and it is a foundation of my life. I really wish that they would create a national chain of restaurants and please don't make the mistake again of thinking the place to start a national campaign is in Florida! Just continue to grow East at a steady pace. But in regards to the food, there is nothing like it! The chicken is juicy, flavorful and tender. The skin is absolutely my favorite part. But, the thing that really set EPL apart from others is the side dishes and condiments. The pinto beans are always flavorful, The Cole slaw perfection. The rice is exactly perfect every time. And the pico is fresh and well balanced.After having spent the past three years on the East Coast and Florida, I've tried every kind of competitor and none of them even come close. And as I assembled me hand made burritos with grilled chicken, pinto beans. Cole slaw and pico de gallo a ritual I've been doing for nearly 40 years now, even with all the buildup in my mind, every bite delivered that familiar pop of flavors that I crave anytime I'm away from the west coast! Please don't scare up this business model. There is nothing like your food and the world would be a much sadder place if EPL were to go under.I know that sometimes we forget the positive impact we have on others. But, your food is fresh, is fabulous, it triggers nothing but happy m memories and your friendly staff brings it all home for each of us that loves your food! Thank you for all you do!
