We love the Mexican food all over Tucson. My wife and I have been coming to Tucson multiple times a year for decades. We know this town. However, this was our first time here. Family brought us, and I'm so glad they did!The food is great as was the service.A few days later, the same family ordered a cheese crisp from here for our gathering at their home. This cheese crisp was excellent- perfect balance of cheese to crispy tortilla.I can't wait to come back to Tucson to visit El Molinito again.

I had walked a section of the nearby Canada del Oro multi-use path and this restaurant was nearby. It was 6:22pm on a Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, and there was a long line out the front door. That line almost made me leave.Luckily the many people were two parties of six and they moved in quickly. The restaurant has no lobby so people wait outside. There were several open tables and I asked to sit at the bar since I was by myself. I had a nice conversation with another solo diner, a traveling nurse from Houston, who also sat at the bar.Despite the lack of a lobby, I like the spaciousness of the interior. Tables are set apart so there is ample room to walk past. Part of the interior is decorated like an outside patio, with wood cover.I was served tasty chips and salsa and ordered chicken enchiladas with a glass of water. There were no craft beers on tap. The sauce was delicious! Beans were served on the side, but I quickly mixed the beans with the sauce. It was a very tasty meal and my server Brenda did a good job.I'm not sure why the rating for this place is so low. I'm guessing there are plenty of jealous competitors writing these scathing reviews.

Always a go to for comfort food. El Molinto .My opinion one of Tucson's best Mexican food restaurants in Marana .The service is always fast and friendly staff. A nice location on Ina . I had there lunch special chimichanga enchilada style. My husband had a bean tostada very plentiful. We enjoy coming here after shopping and to enjoy a fabulous Margarita!!

The service was really good, although I would have preferred to get my drink refilled more often. Additionally, and i hate to say it, the food quality seems to have gone down a bit

Thieves!! My family ordered 8 dozen mini chimichangas for a funeral; we called the day before to order in advance. Not only did they take forever even though we gave them advance notice, they did not give us all our food! We are missing over a dozen. We called and they were rude and unhelpful. Go to another Mexican restaurant.

I have been a loyal customer since 2014 but over the past 3 years it's gotten worse and worse. And as of today, I wont ever return. I'll put pics of the slop I was served. And since you won't be able to tell from the pic what it was supposed to be- it was allegedly a red chili cheese crísp. I had my last one of those there about 3 years ago and it was delicious- so I chose that today. That thing was SATURATED in grease from the whole thing being one big glob of cheese! The tortilla was so soaked with grease that It was brown and only crisp on the edges where the grease had soaked in but the cheese wasn't directly covering it. The waiter never came back to find out how the food was or to give us refills. He came at the end and asked if we needed boxes (my daughter got a grilled chicken cheese crisp that was just about as disgusting- enough so that she didn't eat hers either). I explained very nicely that I wouldn't need a box and was not able to eat it and why. I have been a server so there's no way I would have brought that slop to a table but also no way I would act up and embarrass someone. So I gently noted that it was heavy with cheese the the point it was inedible and showed him with my fork, such as you will see in the picture, how bad it was. He just said "ok" (in reference to me not needing a box) and walked away! He then brought the check and that was it. So I paid 34 dollars for that slop and not so much as an apology. Horrible service and even more horrid food. Avoid this place.

Francisco was an amazing waiter! We enjoyed our dinner and the service was great. We had the chimi with the works and it was enough for two!
