El Dorado Place is extremely nice. I was last here 20 years ago when a family member lived in one of their two-bedroom apartments with sunken living room. They didn't have one with a sunken living room to see, but I did see one that was very similar, and the leasing agent was extremely friendly and personable. This is definitely a complex I would consider.Near Speedway and Wilmot, the location is great. It's adjacent to a large office park, Dorado Country Club, Mountain Oyster Club, and tucked behind a few banks and more office buildings; it is virtually not visible from Speedway or Wilmot. There are also several good eating establishments and hotels in walking distance which is good for out-of-town guests. The actual property is very pleasant and almost sleepy. There's fountains everywhere and mature trees that provide lots of shade. It's also very quiet, which in my opinion, is quite a feat considering it's near one of Tucson's busiest intersections. The floor plan of the apartment I walked through makes use of the space very well. It was very open, but the rooms were still very defined so it doesn't feel like one giant room. I also liked the fact that the kitchen is tucked away in a corner because I don't like seeing a kitchen sink full of dirty dishes from the couch. The bedrooms were in different spots of the place, which is good for privacy. The bathrooms and kitchens are outfitted with some very nice granite counters, wooden cabinetry, and tile floors. The rest of the place is very plush carpeting. They don't go very trendy like the other complexes I've seen with the cold and clinical feel of the faux wood floors everywhere. Nothing feels old or shabby though. For being built in 1979, it felt much, much newer. It was also feature rich with a large walk-in closet, fireplace in the living room, and concealed laundry nook in between the dining area and entryway; the laundry nook is also where the air handling/furnace unit is located. In total, it felt more like a house than an apartment. No gripes to speak of about the apartment other that the fact that if you get a first floor apartment, there's a solid stucco wall partitioning the patio in lieu of an iron fence that balconies on upper floor apartments have. This is a problem because it's on the taller side (in my opinion), and blocks out views and light. Yeah, it probably bodes well for security, but the height of that wall still won't deter a burglar. From what I saw of the clubhouse/leasing office, it looked quite nice. Vaulted, beamed ceilings, stucco walls, collums, and fireplace. I guess there's also a fitness center upstairs. I would say the clubhouse is one of the smallest I've seen, but it's still nice. The pool was a nice size and was clean. Now I just have to wait for rent prices to start to come down, because El Dorado Place is very much in consideration. I'd love to score an apartment with the sunken living room.

1st year great. 5 stars. And 5 stars for George the maintenance guy. But everything else has been a nightmare.1st year was great so we wanted to move into a larger unit, despite the almost 40% rent hike on the bigger apartment compared to what it cost the year before.Come to move into the new unitWe find Mold in the fridge and freezerStaples, beads, food, stains in carpetUnattached hinges on cabinets Doors not able to close or lock (both sliding glass and inside doors)Nothing cleaned whatsoever (dirt and grime all over tile and walls)A few broken light bulbs in fixtures.A lot of damage was clearly just painted over. Our dishwasher was leaving grime and food all over our dishes, so i took a closer look to find a Syringe and rusty drill bit in our dishwasher. They did replace the dishwasher for us, only for me to be lectured by Rich about how there was nothing wrong with the original dishwasher. Which he hands me an article about waterspots being harmless. Their only offer to correct was fornus to move into another unit. Unacceptable. We already taken a lot of time from work to move in, clean and to be home during the day for them to do repairs promised. Which the repairs kept being rescheduled until most of them never happened.Us being 1st time renters, we were naive. And that was taken advantage of. I understand a certain amount of that is on us, I accept that, but it doesn't make it okay.Example; On the move in check list We were told to leave fields blank or write in good condition if it was scheduled to be taken care of. (We had such a good experience the 1st year we trusted management) So we agreed. That was supposed to included a cleaning crew, carpet cleaning, baseboards installed to cover cracks, etc.. We later agreed to being able to break lease once we found a house with no consequences as a way to make amends for the issues(didnt get in writting and that's on me). When the new manager came in, she couldn't honor that. Frustrating but understandable. Additional example of the incompetence:My Fiance went in to get package that was delivered to the office. She told them that shes there to pick up a package. And they gave her a sympathetic "oohh". Obviously confused, She asked if she can have her package. Their reply is that mail is in the mailbox. She had to describe that a package that wouldn't physically fit into the mail box, that was signed off by the office. They still couldnt understand that and told her to check the mailbox. She had to tell them to check the room with boxes and see if one had our name on it. This happened on multiple occasions to both of us.Through all of that they sent us a bill even though we left the apartment in a better condition than we received it.Their stance is that what we were billed for wouldn't have anything to do with the previous tenants or condition. Which is complete nonsense that the previously existing damage to the unit doesn't impact the current condition.Fundamentally flawed thought process. I spent a lot of my time and my own money to clean and fix a lot of it just for it to feel livable. In the least they should offer to waive or split the difference with us due to the condition we received it. Not a chance. Even their corporate office was entirely resistant to even try to be helpful or work anything out. Not even willing to understand what we dealt with and giving us a broken record response to every point raised. The experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.

Avoid this complex at all costs! WAY over-priced... old... they put in granite counter-tops and washer/dryer, now call it "Luxury" apartment... LOL!! Management is vicious... grubbing for every last nickle... most everything breaks down regularly, used to have a good maintenance guy, now "iffy"...Complex is very noisy, especially inner courtyard apts... dogs barking often... loud music nightly... VERY unpleasant place to live.

I have been living in my apartment home for about 6 years now. I have to say that my experience has always been amazing. I have had such a great experience with management, even when there was a management change. I wanted to personally Thank both Danni and Joan for the amazing service and cooperation through my many situations. Maybe I didn't get the exact outcome I would have liked. But I always felt protected and safe with knowing you were fighting for us. I appreciate you both! Sincerely,Crystal :)

Best luxury apartment on the east side. Positives: Amazing maintenance crew who will fix everything within same day to 3 days from your request. The exception of course would be if they need to order a part. Office staff are friendly and helpful as well with hours of Monday through Saturday 9 to 6.Other amazing features: High-quality appliances: Washer, Dryer, Dishwasher, Stove, Microwave, garbage disposal, hot water heater, and Refrigerator. And unlike most apartments, they have a larger sized toilet. They also have great pest control. They do a good job making the inside track look like a garden with water fountains. There are public grills you can use. Online payment of rent and maintenance request through Rent Cafe. The location has everything you need from great restaurants south on Broadway to Costco being a few minutes north. Hospitals and Urgent Care are nearby for emergencies.Negatives: Price keeps going up every year. If you live on the first floor you can hear people above you and people's dogs can get loud. I wish there were a size and breed limit on dogs.Avoid the other terrible apartments on the east side of Tucson and live here instead.

I lived here for a year with my fiancee paying $832 per month ( it was our first apartment) and the cost of living here is just is not worth it. You would thnk the amount they charge for rent they wouldn't charge you for every little thing. While living here I was pregnant and I have asthma . I was forced to inhale cigarette smoke from another resident because they were smoking in there apartment above . It would come through our bathroom vent . Every resident on my side of my building over and under me smoked. I couldn't get away from it.Even On a nice day I would want to open the slide door to let the air in and couldn't and it irritated me everyday that I was putting out this amount of money a month to deal with that and The current resident that is living under us when we moved smokes weed ,like that's any better. This apartment complex is very pet friendly . Which I have no problem with. But some people can not seem to find the time to clean up after there dogs. I do not want to see dog waste everywhere. The whole time while living here the side of our tub leaked every time we would shower and it would go into the wall. Of course causing it to smell and mildew. Put in a work order and maintenance put in some white piece between the tub ,but that did nothing because it Direct Tvleaked up until the day we moved out. I was told by the office all the tubs do this.We had satellite cable and the company wouldn't come out to remove the satellite so my fiancee had to remove it, which was no problem because he use to work for Direct Tv, however we did not have the tools to do it. He went to the office and asked for one tool. He was told he would have to pay $50 to use it and if the satellite didn't come down we would be charged for that to. HOW CONVINENT.My Sister in law and her husband lived on the second floor in other building, across the property in front of the office and their bike was stolen right in front of their front door. I was never aware at the time of signing my lease or even throughout living here that EVERYONE that moves out would be charged a cleaning fee for shampooing carpet even if your carpet isn't damaged.I checked the lease and did not see anything there either. We could of easily been told this from the beginning . We have a new born baby now and do not have room to give money away for free. All in all I would say if you want the look of these apartments buy granite contact paper and find somewhere cheaper to live.

Nice apartments as far as that goes. I've been here for a year and never had a problem. Friendly, helpful staff, reserved covered parking. Property has washer/dryer in units. The only fault I'd give them is not much storage in kitchen or bedrooms. Very nice decor though, and property is well maintained. I'd definitely stay here another year if I wasn't transferring out of state.

I love this apt complex! We have been here for almost a year and don't have any complaints. Our apt is HUGE! 1155 sq ft and and rent is very affordable. I absolutely love the granite counter tops and back washes throughout the apt. I also love the fact that in our apt a fireplace separates our living room from our dining room. The community is very quiet and very did friendly. It's a fairly clean community. And the staff is very welcoming, polite, and helpful. The maintenance people are also very polite, helpful, and always come in a timely manner. The elementary school assigned to this area my not be the best, but there are other schools within the district that are wonderful. I would recommend this community any and everyone! Come and check it out!
