El Conquistador Golf and Tennis

This review is for the 18 hole Disc Golf course that was recently installed on this 9 hole Ball Golf course. Pay to play it's only $20 per round and that does include a cart. Fortunately during the summer they reseed the course so it is virtually deserted and getting a 7am tee time is totally available. Beautiful course with some spectacular views. Green grass with lots of shade trees you will find some difficulty in some of the elevated shots. Red carpet for tee pads and bright red baskets for easy visibility. This course will not disappoint!

Imagine a hotel in southern Arizona with not enough pool umbrellas to suffice for their guests. I enjoyed getting heatstroke here very much

I love having a 9 hole course easily accessible off Oracle. Beautiful course and views. Great staff - helpful and friendly. Good prices too!

The course was in ok condition. The track is not signed well or consistent. we easily missed a couple holes not a big deal. When my wife and I returned after 18 holes. The front clerk was standing in the doorway. I asked if wife could use the restroom. He is still standing with the door open and he replies no we're closed. I went to return my cart. The attendant Steve was rude and looked like a vagrant. If this is a town owned facility the management is slacking. Disappointed customers.

Just ok. The price of $39, was commiserate with the course. The disconnect for us was that we thought that we were playing at the Resort where were stayed. The website is quite confusing! That said, no fixed carries or real hazards. Pretty easy course. One call out- we didn't see a Ranger all afternoon and at one point there were 4 groups on one Par 4. Beautiful weather saved the day, despite the golf shop refusing my 20% off lunch receipt Apparel coupon on a sale rack shirt. No restrictions on coupon or signage in shop. You can keep your shirt. I left pissed... we won't be back.

Courses are in good shape but the pace of play SLOW! 4 1/2 hours+. There is usually a martial on the course but they do nothing but drive around. If I didn't live so close I probably would not play it.

Hello,  While at El Conquistador golf course yesterday I was denied golf privileges because I was not wearing proper golf attire ( blue jeans and non - collar. shirt ) I was under the assumption the El Conquistador is a Government facility. I would think this is discrimination.

El con and Canada courses are in really good shape after the overseeding and a blast to play. The newest improvement is the new starter - JD. He runs the course on his days like a well oiled machine. Play is smooth and timely and no crazy waits on the tee box. He really understands how it's supposed to run and does his best to keep play at pace.
