El Amigo

So good! Today I had a Sonoran dog and an asada caramelo. The caramelo came with beans. His wife makes the beans. They are some of the best refried beans I've ever had. The caramelo was tasty. I also got birria. As far as birria is concerned, I can take it or leave it. This birria, however, I finished it to the very last drop. It is really good stuff. Add a little limón and mmm, mmm, mmm!In case Yelp powers that be don't update the info I gave them, he is open everyday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. -ish. Open at least until 4:00 p.m. Sometimes 5:00, sometimes 6:00--always at least until 4:00. And also, his location is across from the Pilot truck stop on the corner of S. Burcham Ave. and E. Elvira Rd.Cash only.5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money.4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business.3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it.2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money.1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

This is right next to my house and I keep meaning to stop. Today I did! Just a tip, it is cash only. Anyhow, how was it delicious and well priced! I ordered two carne asada tacos and a Sonoran hot dog. Although El Amigo does not bacon wrap theirs, it was damn good! Perfect amount of everything and only $3. The tacos were delicious and perfectly tender as well. The man running the truck was very friendly and kind, the food came out in about 4 minutes. I will be stopping here after work far more often now. It was truly delicious!***edit to add I'm an idiot and they definitely bacon wrapped it!

Great food! Very friendly! Stopped here for tacos after the Pima Air and Space museum.

This place was awesome and right across from the Pilot for cheap gas. Solid choice. The burrito was delicious and the hot dog was unreal. If I ever find myself out this way again I'll be back

Definitely a hard title to take, but this is the best taco truck in the Tucson area. They serve pastor, asada, pollo, and cabeza. Burros, caramelos, tacos, and Sanoran dogs. Easy to drive past, but hard to leave once you stop. It's been a neighborhood favorite for a couple years now. I can't recommend this high enough to anyone!

Food is incredible. Fast and really friendly service. Will make you laugh and fill you up. Very authentic.

Best Sonoran Dog I have ever eaten! And tacos so good. And the owner is a gem! Love him. Can't believe people are across the street at Pilot eating Taco Bell and Subway. SAD!!
