E & L Southwest Cakes

The lady who works here was so thoughtful towards my wedding cake. She spent over an hour with me going over all the details of what I wanted for my cake from pictures to all the flavors and types of toppings and fillings. Also delivered, which was great!I could not have picked a better place for my wedding cake!

I got a surprise carrot cake from my family for my birthday and I must say was impressed with the cake. Usually carrot cakes that are not homemade are meh but this one was delish and moist. I brought it to work and my coworkers thought I might have baked it myself but I gave credit to E&L Southwest Cakes because they came through with the perfect cake for me! Thank you!

As a business you should take pride in every single customers satisfaction, especially if you're a local business. Not only was I disrespected and belittled by the owner when I advised her that I wasn't satisfied (and after 10-15 mins of back and forth) the owner allowed one of her bakers to make comments about me, IN FRONT OF ME, to these other customers all over a service they were unable to fulfil. I'm so beyond words about how I feel right now. The cake is the defining point of a party, a part that my son did not get to enjoy. It's not even about the fact that I $120 for a cake-- it's that when they didn't deliver the services they promised and I was left with a half ass cake, no refund/discount and made fun of in front of other people. This is otherwise known as principal of the matter. E and L Southwest Cakes is not a place of business I would ever recommend you do business with. What I wanted (top left) and what I got (top right and bottom) are two very different things. I asked for slanted, not lopsided. And clean-cut not lumpy. I mean a picture is worth a thousand words, so take a look. I would like to touch on the fact that I did place my order on Wednesday leaving them two days so fulfill the order, which the owner was pretty confident about. I say this because she tried to use it against me. She also kept saying if I wanted it to eat or look at? (Yes, she was very rude and condescending). I'm sorry isn't a baker supposed to be able to create something edible and appealing to the eye? I'm so disappointed in this company and will never do business here again.
